I know you can download save games to USB drive, but how do you get them into the game? I tried with Ipod shuffle, which may be the problem because its crap, but even if you use appropriate media how to you use the save games from USB?

And, if anyone has ever tried or has an inkling do you know how to edit save game files? It must be possible and would be cool to see what could be done.

Also, has anyone with a dvd burner and modchip tried altering any of the game disc files and playing with the modded disc to see what happens? LIke with that 'hybrid' GT3 thing, surely you could just simply change the data from an original disc and then make cars like the dihatsu midget be able to use a turbo upgrade from a skyline etc..

before any retard gets all lightheaded and flusterd saying things like "thats cheating, oh my god you cant do that oh my god" get real it would be more fun. I only own a PS2 for GT4, every other game I have on my PC is only there because I can modify it, giving endless possiblities for a game that comes with very few as standard.

If none has tried this so far, someone do so, I dont have a dvd burner or rom yet so Im out. But if we could find a way to modify the files then we could download from each other (even if it is 4GB) Who knows some of the diehard fans who have achieved 100% might even like to have it modded to be harder.

Dude. It is harder than you think. The disc is finalized so no.

You open the save in hex editer to do it. But noone has figured it out yet.

as for the save - you need a X-link or something to transfer it across

hey try a codebreaker. i use version 8.2 to put files on my mem card off of my USB jumpdrive. i never have a problem

what do you mean 'finalized'? It is possible the data is there, you just have to figure how to access and modify

if you can find a way then let people know. i soo can't wait for hybrids

Transferring files to/from a PS2 to/from a PC requires a USB A-to-B-to-A device known as an "X-Port" (also "Sharkport" - not to be confusing with "Gameshark" which is totally different) or a USB Flash device called a "MaxDrive".

You could also buy a action replay max evo with a 16mb usb drive that comes with it.
