Don't expect E3 gaming news anymore

I saw something on a forum, that it had been cancelled but thought I should check it out, and it looks oh so true

"E3 2006 may have been the last Electronic Entertainment Expo...ever, or at least as we know it"

The reasons are mostly economical, if 'E3' does return, it will be at a much smaller scope and scale and in a smaller venue.

So there you have it, if you were hoping for any big PS3 news at E3 from now on...flat out of luck. Official press conference is expected today.

Not too bothered, as most of the games im interested are Japanese titles, so TGS will cover them. To be fare, they have been shooting themselves in the foot, as they should have a few public days too, instead of just the press and gaming guys.
