Ok, just saw the official trailer for GT4. It looks sooooo awesome, and of course we can't believe everything we see, but, THE CROWDS ARE 3D!!!!!!!!!!!! I know, not much to care about like the more common gamer who likes the cars looks only, but the pit crews are also 3D! Almost everything I wanted in GT3 is in GT4, except need to confirm how many cars and I'll be a happy camper! And on Christmas too!:D :D :D :D :D :D :) :) :) :)
 
Christmas day has come and gone, I'm now into boxing day, Man utd play later and I'm definitely watching.

As for this trailer, is it on the web anywhere, I've seen a clip of GT4 that includes 3d crowds, but it's not ingame. If they are for the final release, way to go PD, but I have a nagging feeling the trailer you mean is the same as what I've seen. If you can elaborate on where you saw it and setle this niggling for me it would be much appreciated.
 
I heard that there will be over 500 cars in GT4. I also read in a magazine that there might be motorcycles but I think that is not real.
 
we'll get motorcycles when they put in true drag racing, and boats..wheather it be drag racing or jet/cat(foot note 1) racing.

Hey GT-40/787b so i take it we still only have 0-400 and 0-1000m sprints and no real drag racing 0-440m (1/4 mile) test :P

Note to self: Write to makers of GT, please give us the true drag race test next game :D

Live4speed, I saw it at gamespot.com (can't rememberwhere in gamespot). You probably already saw it, so I was just pointing it out to the people that don't know and would like to see it. But it would be cool to have 3D crowds. Oh yeah, the thread title said "Don't look over here!", you people looked!!:D :D :lol: :lol:

Yeah, that's why I named the thread what I named it. And I saw somewhere that GT4 is dued out in the US on April 30th, 2004. I'm not sure about the source ('cause it was yesterday and I have the memory span of a goldfish [3 seconds!]) or if it's true or not.:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

It was orinally supposed to be a late Xmas prezzie, but seems more like B-day prezzie now :(

[edit] tried SCEE site, and it has been down last few days.

My goldfish dance about & bite the side of the tank frantically when their even the slightest bit hungry (all the time) whenever anyone walks past. :lol:
 
Well, I do have a short memory span, alot shorter than a human's.

And the screenshot I posted was from an unknown source, but it shows that the crowds are not 3D (to me). I haven't been around for a few days so I don't know if anybody has figured it out that the crowds are probably not going to be 3D.:D :D :D :D

I don't care how the crowds look like...btw - the crowds are not 3d!!

I dunno, but while I was watching some gameplay footage, occasionally a guy with a camera would junp in the middle of the road and take a picture! And then he would run into the crowd after you drive by. And this was in rally racing.
 
I expect when people manage to make hybrids for GT4/P they'll soon be able to run over those camera wielding maniacs, or more probably drive straight though em :)

I feel like I should point out that 0-400m is a lot closer to 1/4 mile than 0-440m.

A quarter of a mile is 440 yards. 400m is roughly 15,748 inches - or 437.44 yards (or a little under 0.6% too short). 440m would be 481.19 yards - or 9% too far..

A true drag simulation would be a definite plus.
 
I think that any extra kind of car racing would be a plus, Ice racing would be great.
 
Maybe there will be a gangsta cheat where you can lean out the window and shoot all the spectators.
