How do you tackle the double apex corner at Apricot Hill? The one that starts as a gentle left corner, followed by a very short straight and then a tighter left corner.
I can drift from the gentle corner and halfway along the straight, but then I can't generate more angle to tackle the second corner.

Thank you

Brake hard into the first corner and be very light on the gas, and stay toward the inside of the corner when approaching the second apex. Just as you are about to approach the second apex, begin applying medium throttle in 3rd gear all the way to the exit. This is a "late apex" followed by an "early apex" for highest entry and exit speeds from the double-apex even though you will be slower during the corner than a grip racer would be.

P.S. - Hi everyone! Yah I know, it's been forever, I've been super busy lately. Sorry. I'll try to come back again more regularly but I'm not through the storm yet.

welcome back, the way i drift that double corner is to let it slide the first half( withcounter steer) and the other half( of course with countersteer) with the gas to keep the angle, but it sometimes tends to exit eariler than i expect is should but i use the e brake to connect the next corner

That's a rough one man. I still can't get it consistantly. But I do it pretty much how pergatory said. it's all about the line

Thats the technique that i use for the double apex but i use the curb sometimes to get my car sideways which also looks good

If your having trouble keeping enough angle then try hitting the e-brake 1 or 2 more times, also check how much speed you have going into that corner and your tire choice. thats just a couple of things to experiment with to get u sliding through the whole corner

only way i can get the second is to use the e-brake, which i dont think is a great way. It's all about the feint. :)

Pergatory beat me to it.....

Very good explanation......

Listen to Perg....
