PD, you should seriously close the gap quite a bit with the double file starts........the only time you might ever see a gap as big in the game IRL between rows is if one of the rows hangs back too far and trying to play catch up.
I just happened to take a close look while doing the Super GT300 series championship and noticed the really huge gap.........I'd say that gap was a good 20 ft.........believe it's more closer to 10 ft (if not a lil closer) on many of the major racing series with rolling double file starts.
