Hi! I looked in the foruns and could not find an answer to my doubt. Here is the deal: I've been rubber-band grinding a lot latelly, and I've got 4 1000 tickets. So I decide to use them. I got 4 POS cars. No prob. Get off the game, upload my save, got the tickets again and try again (and again, and again...) After a few days (and a LOT of crap, but also a Ferrari 330 P4!!!), I've got a Nissan 370Z Tuned Car GT Academy. After looking for it on New Cars Dealer and on the Prize Car List, i could no find it - I know you can get the GT-R GT Academy somewhere, but nowhere you can get the 370Z GT Academy during the normal game. So, my doubt is: is it possible to get others cars that are not possible during the normal game? Like Chrome Lines or Stealth Cars or the GameStop Nascar? Did anyone got a car like this as a 1000 ticket prize? Thanks!

You can not get preorder cars (chromline, stealth, gamestop) cars from tickets. If you somehow do, it's a bug, and the car will be removed from your garage next time you load up the game because you don't have the car code entered for your account.

You can also get that car through a level 12 ticket. The Gamestop Nascar can be got through a ticket too, but it will disappear when you quit the game. You cannot get any of the Stealths or Chromelines.

I know for a fact that at least the stealth cars and the GameStop NASCAR would not be included. I received a code to redeem for my Stealth Edition McLaren F1 and my GameStop NASCAR when I bought GT5 CE from GameStop online. The codes for at least the stealth cars and the special NASCAR give the user access to a special download from PSN that pulls down approximately 100MB of files for each code entered. One would assume that those 100MB files are the actual car data itself being transferred to the game data. Henceforth, at least the stealth cars and the special NASCAR are not contained on the standard game disc, and thus would not be winnable through the redemption of a 1000 ticket.

The downloaded files are just unlock keys, not the actual car data.

...you're probably right, but I would figure that a download close to 100 megs would have to contain more than a simple switch for the UI, right? Not saying that I'm right and you are wrong, of course :) Actually, watching my PS3 suck up those two downloads always kind of bothered me...

💡
By extension, that means that everyone would already have all the special edition nonsense. Do you think hackers could get to it...like the hidden Porsche 996 in GT3, the secret Mercedes CLK Race Car in GT2, and so on?

Are they really 100mb, I bet they are 100kb. If Hackers could get to them they would still have to find a way to get them to save to the Game Data to be able to keep them, it might be possible, I don't know.

There was a thread the other day by some person who won the gamestop NASCAR car from a 2010 birthday ticket, only to have it vanish next time he loaded the game. (because he didn't have the code entered)

Thanks for all the answers! Do you guys knows if there is any other car impossible to get on normal game (by prize or buying), but it could be adquired on a 1000 ticket?

Well, this sucks...

Stealth cars are around 100kb each.
All you download is a file which "unlocks" the cars and add them straight to your garage.
