Okay here's the deal. I drive a '98 Grand Cherokee. It's got a ton of miles on it and although it looks new I'm beginning to feel it's age. Also, I am moving this year and my commute to work will tripple. With gas over $2.00 a gallon, showing no signs of going down, something more efficient is in order. Finally, my monthly payment is huge. I want to reduce it, so pretty much every vehicle I know I want is out of the question. It has to be a four door, have decent trunk space and roominess inside, and hopefully not be totally uninspiring and boring.
I'd consider a shorter term lease since, for the time being, monthly cash flow is a major consideration. I'd also consider a newer used car.
I won't be buying anything for a good six months. I'm just preparing and getting opinions.
