Hi there.

I just had a problem getting onto the site with firefox, so i tried using anoymouse.org to surf anonymously (by by ip address) and i can get on, where as i couldn't get on without using it. Basically, i can't get on without it. Any ideas? Thanks, Jon. PS This would be on a different line, if it wasn't messed up.

That doesn't make much sense, unless you were using an IP address that has been banned or blocked by our server's firewall. Exactly what kind of error message do you get? Can you access other websites on my server like HandyHomepage?

I could access handyhomepage, but when i tried to get on to any gtplanet links i just got firefox's "gtplanet.net could not be found" message.

EDIT

Infact, i used a link from handyhomepage.

Well, that's really strange. If it happens again on a recurring basis, every time it does record your IP address to see if there is any correlation.

It's happening again.

I was trying to reply to a thread, and the quick reply didn't work. I clicked go advanced, and i still got the "Operation timed out" problem. I restarted firefox and it was still doing it. I'm using anonymouse now, but i'm about to check again wether it works.

EDIT

Still doesn't work.

What type of internet connection do you have?

Well, it looks like you are being assigned a lot of different dynamic IP addresses. Although you would still be able to see the site if your IP address was blocked by vBulletin, you wouldn't be able to see any sites on my server if it happened to be one blocked by the server's firewall. Have you tried logging your IP address every time this happens, as suggested in Post 4?

Well, i don't think it's a vBulletin thing - i can't get on your main site, or handyhomepage.

EDIT

My current IP is 88.111.74.31.

OK, i've done a traceroute using this visual route program.

Is that any help?

And here's handyhomepage's one.
