Drag racing course for online?

These questions don't really fit into course maker, or online... so I thought I'd ask it here. (I've searched, and haven't been able to find the answer).

1) I know you can't create a drag strip (one way). However, is there anyway to make a drag strip which has a "checkpoint" or something? That way, we can track who is in front by the checkpoint.

2) Can you have friends race with you on a track you created, without sending it to them? (online racing).

3) Is there any way to force manual transmission in online races? I haven't found this option yet, but it should be there (as skid force, etc. all that can be forced?).

As you may have guessed, I want to start doing pink slip drag races with friends. I would extend it to randoms, but there's just no way to enforce the gifting.

There's a huge thread on drag racing online somewhere...

I've had a quick look, but can't see it, but if you like drag racing online try and find it, not only will it give you useful information but you'll probably find lots of other likeminded people to race against..

I've had a quick look, but can't see it, but if you like drag racing online try and find it, not only will it give you useful information but you'll probably find lots of other likeminded people to race against..

Special Stage Route 7 is the closest track to a drag style.

There's a few tracks that have nice straights capable of running 1/4 mile and mile drags, SSR7 is a great track but a little narrow especially if you plan to have more than two car races. There is also the massive influx of random people that join SSR7 with no mics and very little in the way of track etiquette when it comes to dragging.

Some friends and I are looking at other tracks which can make for suitable tracks and we have found that on Fuji there is a white line and chequered line approximately 400m-1/4 mile apart just before the start/finish line.

We'll be looking for locations that can hold up to 5 or more cars at once and even Top Gear test track is a possibility.

The start/finish straights on any real world tracks would be fine.

Me and my group use the LeMans straight for high powered cars, without using the veyron. It really gets tense as the cars just start to find top speed, making transmition settings very important.

Top Gear Runway is the best for drag races. It's very wide, can fit approximately 8 cars or so no problem with plenty of space in between. No bumps, completely flat and smooth.
