Sorry if *someone* mentioned this before...
I just found a way to drag race but it involves your opponent as a ghost. I'll try to explain it as best as I can.
Go to the 400m test track in simulation mode with a car you would like to drag race with. After the light goes green, make sure to get your car in position somewhere (preferably a white line on the road of the test track, BEHIND the starting line) and set up a launch time - 30 seconds to get in position, for example. After 30 seconds is up, just put your car in full throttle...... Make sure (after you're done) to go past the 400m finish line. This will enable you to save the ghost replay.
Choose another car in your garage.
Once you select a car, go to the 400m test track again and load the replay ghost. Get into position beside the ghost, and remember the launch time you set for that ghost. Then just floor it! enjoy!
