Drag Racing Thread (Tuning and otherwise)

What kind of tuning should I do to get better times? I would think gearing the transmission for acceleration would help immensely for acceleration, but I've fine tuned my Exige cup car to top out 4th gear as I cross 1/4 mile, with each gear (besides first) starting right at the peak of the hp curve. With 2 fewer shifts, I am cutting .200 seconds off my time. I guess it makes sense.

What suspension/tire pressure settings should I try to get better launches? The launches KILL me in high powered RWD cars, which is why I am using a 550hp Exige to race my friends 1000hp G8 GXP.

And what is the best technique for good launches in a RWD car?
