I'm surprised there is no thread on this yet.

It finished downloading last night and it was ready to be installed when I got home tonight (pre-loading FTW!). I'm not that far into the game but I can already tell it's going to be fairly epic. The story line isn't that inventive, pretty much Lord of the Rings sans the rings, but the game's party piece is it's characters. Much like Mass Effect there you interact with all sorts of characters which give you a whole range of emotion. I won't get to much into it as it will give a lot of the surprises away in the game.

The other cool part is you get to pick your race and their background which makes the start of the game completely different and it allows for different interactions through the game's main story. Pretty inventive and allows for quite a bit of replay. I started off as a human warrior coming from noble birth.

Anyone else got the game? I'd like to hear how others are enjoying it. The reviews pretty much made it out to be a scaled down version of god.
 
Sounds interesting, but I'm currently in the market for games of this manner (mainly due to constraints on time and cash) but if I was, it seems well worth a look.

I just started playing this. Gameplay is a lot like Mass Effect which isn't a bad thing. You do have to choose your party members wisely, because you can't change them out during some missions. Overall it's a fun game, and it has dragons in it.
 
It was a bit slow to get going but now that the story is in full swing I'm totally sucked into it just like I was with Mass Effect. Hopefully I can get through a couple of run throughs before Mass Effect 2 in January.

Oh and the DLC is pretty good too although I've only messed with the armour sets and rings, I haven't got to the quests yet.
 
Hmm...mac version is coming next tuesday. If they have a demo I will check it out for sure, I have a couple friends that won't put the game down.
 
I'm on my third play now, first time I was a female human noble warrior, second time a male human noble rogue and right now a female dalish elf mage..

This game is really good, can't stop playing it..in march there's Dragon Age: Awekening coming out, where you can go to Amaranthine..when GT5 comes out I'm gonna have a problem..lol
 
It might come out, BioWare is having technical issues with their expansions. We were supposed to have the Return to Ostagar DLC a week or two ago and still nothing. Oh well, Mass Effect 2 is due out in a few days and that should more then own my gaming time allotment.
