Dragon's Crown | GLOBAL SITE

The game takes place in a fantasy world where vast labyrinths and catacombs lie beneath civilization. Magic-users seeking a legendary treasure known as the "Dragon's Crown" have used their sorcery to link each of the ruins together in order to search for it, which they plan to use for a sinister purpose. Players must take up the role of one of six adventurers to keep the crown out of their hands, as well as search for treasure of their own.

Dragon’s Crown for PS3, PS Vita Melting Faces on August 6

US Playstation Blog
One of the reasons development took so long is the painstaking detail that makes every character, background or combat animation worthy of the artistic vision of Vanillaware. The intricacies in the artwork are immediately noticeable on both the PS3 and PS Vita versions. Speaking of, we’re working right now on making sure that gamers can take their saved games with them on the Vita. So while Vita adventurers can’t party up with PlayStation dungeoneers, it doesn’t mean they have to stop leveling and looting if they have to leave the living room

Dual Shockers
The artbook includes 64 pages of full-color illustrations from Dragon’s Crown and comments from George Kamitani himself. It also comes with commissioned artwork about the Dragon’s Crown universe from three prominent Japanese video game artists: Akira “Akiman” Yasuda (Street Fighter II and III, Power Stone, Tech Romancer, and Mecha Designer for the Code Geass anime series), Kinu Nishimura (Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, Code of Princess, Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom), and “Gouda Cheese” Bengus (Street Fighter series, Marvel vs Capcom 3 and many others).

IGN's Colin Moriarty has been saying a lot of good stuff about this game through articles and Podcast Beyond, it looks real neat and I'm a big fan of action RPG's. Hopefully this turns out to be as good as it looks in the previews !

Whatever happened to the thief? I thought there was also a thief as a playable character, where did I get that from?

When you look at the elfs gameplay vid you can see the thief I believe, the one who is with the elf and has a big bag over his shoulder on his back.

The thief looks like Jean Rheno? (guy from leon movie) And he seems to have the little elf with him seen in third pic link. Personally I really liked his look and was wondering how he would play. Now I wonder if he is just a side character that comes along ones in a while, but I suspect the dreaded DLC practice at work here. Such a shame if I am right.

Is this a tech demo for JiggleVision® or a game? the gif above is outstanding!

That chick in the witch hat has some tig ole' bitties!

The game released today and it is absolutely awesome. I've beat the first three levels playing as the Sorceress and it is incredibly fun and a little challenging too.

Also, the artbook you get for pre-ordering is actually really cool. It is a lot better than I was expecting.
