So, last night I was racing in the Dream Car Championship (A-spec, Level 24 Extreme Series)

I came in 1st on every race except for the final one which is 3 laps of the Nurburgring, I decided to exit and the final scores showed that I was tied with 400 points with the AI player in 2nd.

I still won though... is it supposed to be this way?

PS: the extended ending is pure class

Most racing leagues have the rule that if there is a tie for points in a championship, the tie breaker goes to the driver with the most wins. Since you said you won all but 1 race then you win the tie breaker and thus the championship.

hey can you tell me how long did it takes to finish all the four (or five ?) races ? i think im not going to do the nurburgring 3 lap since i don't have a lot of time to play GT5. If all this races takes more than 3 hours than maybe i'll do it on school holiday since my exams are coming shortly.

It takes about 1 1/2hrs to complete the series. It's worth doing the Nurburgring race as you get twice as many experience points for that race compared to any of the previous races.

Only took me an hour yesterday to do it. But I only did the first four races, then quit (having built up enough of a lead to win the championship). Also, I used a Peugeot 908, which completely thrashed the opposition:). Then went on this morning and did the final race (which is the longest and takes about 30mins) on its own. Personally, I found this to be the best combination.

yeah I think I will go finish the event by winning the Nurburgring race later :P

Yeah, lucky me - I got the 'Ring in the rain. Pretty much needed to change my drawers after three laps of that!

Yeah, me too, first time I did the championship it rained at Monza and Nurburgring, I was gutted. I used to grind this series alot for points and money, I had one series where it rained at Monza, Sarthe and Nurburgring...

Wasn't happy, other times all 5 races have been dry. Guess it's the luck of the draw...

Once you get used to the rain it isn't so bad, I found I won by a bigger margin in the wet than in the dry!! Especially in the Sauber, that thing has got magic tyres, I was 1 minute per lap quicker in the Sauber compared to my previous best wet lap, on my first go with the Sauber.
