'69 Boss 429 Mustang. In red. 'Nuff said lol.
But for real though, over 500 horses stock...and slight...SLIGHT mods will edge you over 650hp lol. Would probably upgrade suspension and exhaust though to make up for the excess power. Would like a fish fin cover (rear window and side window louvers, 'cept the 429 doesn't have side windows) for the rear window as well, and also a small spoiler like you could get as an option when the car first came out.
Engine: Ford 429c.i. (385 Series) Boss Engine (it's a NASCAR engine lol). Over 500 stock horsepower (even though Ford lied about ratings to fool insurance companies). Slight mods, punched out 30 over . Eventually would like to build a full 429 stroker engine, but I could probably get even more power with a 460 stoker and send it over 557c.i. aka over 1000hp lol. At that point it'd be a track only car but this is my dream car and will likely end up using an old Ford truck as a daily driver.
Transmission: 4 speed automatic, I HATE standards (even though that are better). Would like to see if I could bolt up a C6 to the 429 but not sure if the patterns are the same. Should be fine with a 460 though as I know Ford used C6's with them. A C4 or C5 I would be ok though, even though all 3 of them are 3 speed auto and manual. Will probably have the gearing changed too from stock since I want over 85mph lol. Only problem is that they are heavy *** transmissions lol. Exhaust upgrade, Flowmaster 40's probably, not sure what size pipes they come int though, probably 2 1/2 inchers if I can get them for better air flow.
Handling: Grippy! Will upgrade to some type of Cooper tires and upgrade the suspension as well to support the power. The the power it'll produce though should be able to spin the tires with ease. Would also like to do some kind of weight reduction although if it were to be driven on the street it wouldn't pass inspection here in NY. Would definitely garage the car though. Also will upgrade brakes as well.
Driveability: No understeer, a little oversteer though because of spinning tires. No one car could do this baby up.
Sounds: Like a V8. Loud *** roar to **** off the neighbors lol.
Cost: Car in mint would be up over $40,000. Same with restored. How ever I'd rather build it myself and pull it from a junkyard. Cost would still be up there though. With everything it'll probably be around the same as if I were to buy the car itself. The motor in itself if I were to drop a prebuilt crate in it would about $10,000 so yeah lol.
In my dreams....
