I Know I've seen that set up some where? I've seen that case in ID mag.

edit: I can't find a picture of it but I wouldn't mine having that 20 inch Waacom Tablet Monitor. As for a computer it doesn't have to be the best but memory and Video card are a priority.

The system I wanted cost $35,576.99 without the monitors, and seeing as how I wouldn't have anything but the $18,000 monitors, I'd probably spend a few bucks...

sad thing is, these rigs are overpowered for windows. The current generations of windows are only capable of i think 4 gigs of ram while running a 32 bit processor and these folks are stuffing 12+ gigs into the rigs? The users best be running Linux/Unix workstations if they want any hope of coming close to utilizing the max potential of these things. Also, that would be the only way to use a dual processor rig since winxp/2k3 only supports that up to the p3. Another thing, is that I *think* the cases for these things are GI-NORMOUS. To shove all that stuff into a rig, you would need a server case...

And yet another thing...it's truly SHOCKING that they don't have the high end opengl graphics cards available...for a workstation, that's a must

They customized Windows. Like Windows XP L 4 or something.

how about an explanation to the 550 watt psu?

Ah well, they don't sell my dream machine...it would have to be a liquid cooled dual athlon64 setup and that won't happen till longhorn is released

Yep.

For me, because I like AMD.

Now, their laptops, those are a different story.

I would really like to have one of these. Or 40 PS3s would do...

Total peak performance 40Tflops
Total main memory 10TB
