I am very fascinated with dreams. I always ask people in person, about their dreams. But I never thought about making a thread them.

Please tell me some dreams you've had anytime in your life. I will try and interpret them for you, as I took a 2 week course on interpreting dreams. Dont worry, it wont be embarrassing because the interpretation is very speculative.

LOL, ok then...

I used to have dreams of the following:

I was in my highschool (3rd floor of course). I would go to my locker sometimes, go to classes, etc. Usually I would be in the halls, not sure why, but I know I could never run nor walk. I could only walk SLOWLY, no matter what I did. Sometimes, for some reason I forgot to put pants on while in school. It is weird. Also, I always get WICKED tired from walking in the halls that I would have to sit down in the hallway. I couldnt get up when people came, I felt embarassed. Just a bunch of dreams with stuff like that.

Those are probably the dreams that I have had the most that I can remember. I dont get them anymore for some reason (atleast to my knowledge.)

Hmm .. sounds interesting 12sec Civic. I don't know why , but most of the time I dream , its always about cars or explosions ( VERY big ones ) . Every single time I dream , something bad is bound to happen. Tell me what the hell is this suppose to mean ?

The only re-occuring dream I've had,.. scratch that,.. two re-occuring dreams, I haven't drempt in probably 10 years. But they were there all the time as a kid.

1) The first one, the one I had as early as I can remember , is very short. It's me as a young child, staring over the fence in the yard at our first house. All the houses to the south have disapeered and been replaced by woods and swamps. There are horrible loking monsters comming through the woods, but they never get me cause I always woke up right as they were climbing the fence.

2) Basically is just a nightmare. I'm getting chased through the old west by Jason Vorhees, but he always missed me by inches. We run across the desert and approach a cliff. I jump from the cliff and, contrary to popular belief, I'm able to fall all the way to the ground. My body plows into the dirt, about 3 feet into the ground. I get up and brush myself off. I look up to the top of the cliff, and Vorhees is just standing up there,... no balls to jump. Then the dream ends.

That's it. Like I said, they were re-occuring, but I havent had either one in a minimum of 10 years. I'm 25 now.

BTW,... I don't think it's possible to accurately depict my personallity because of a couple child-hood nightmares, but you can have a go if you feal the need.

I don't remember my dreams, assuming I have them regularly, but rarely. They say artists dream. That may explain why I can't draw or hold a pencil properly.

i have dreams wher im in some danger situation and i really need to get away. My last i was in the woods and it was on fire. But in those dreams i am extremly dizzy and i can't move. all i can do is move my head, mouth, and eyes. i call for help but nobody helps me.

I've had this one dream that has reccured about ten times (no anymore at the moment 4 bout 2 years). In this dream i am doing something on my porch (we call it a breezeway because it is more like an opened up room) like playing ping-pong (im good at it in my dreams but in real life i suck at it) and i look across the street and there is a tornado comming. All the time the tornado is very close and when i see it it ripping the house across the street apart. I find it starnge becuase in my area the worst storm ever 2 strike is a 3 sec thunder storm or a blizzerd that drops a foot of snow. nothing serious.

Once i had a dream that i was sitting at a cafe in Baghdad w/ Suddam Hussein. :p Qualifies as strange because he seemed like a nice guy.:odd:

I've had some weird dreams before.

OK, so I'm in England, walking around a street when I see a big white building with 5 red doors and 5 red windows. This house is haunted. I can't remember much else.

The next day, when I turn on the TV, I turned to "History's Mysteries," a show about haunted houses. And what do I see? a big white building with 5 red doors and 5 red windows.

Freaky.

you've posted this in another thread

Is it true in dreams when you are falling from a great height (and you get that feeling I dont know how to describe) and you hit the ground, you die? Thats what I have heard.

And Im not sure, but it seems as though some dreams can continue the next night, or the same night but it seems like 2 nights.

Tuesday night, after having narrowly survived a 4-hour test, i dreamt i backed a baby-blue Taurus SHO into a brick wall after having parked a rusted-over '93 Mustang next to it. my Mom was in the passenger seat. in the last dream thread out here, i had one about Rikku and a giant racetrack in the clouds, like in that old Podracing game for N64.

I'm sorry guys, I cant think of anything for these dreams. They're all very typical dreams (Falling, being chased by monsters etc.)

BTW, there are certain dreams that are so intense they can cause a heart attack or some other similar attack. Its possible to die of shock during a dream. One of these dreams is called an "Incubus". There are many people that have woke up having a heart attack, and when they are recessitated they claim they were having a bad nightmare.

This one guy in the USA woke up having a heart attack, after he was calmed down he said he was having a dream where some man had his family tied in chairs and he was walking around shooting them in the face, kind of like a snuff film or something. He couldn't do anything about it, so he had a heart attack brought on by the rage. Thats pretty weird.

If you guys are interested, I'll tell you about something called "An Old Hag Dream". They can happen to anyone, and the bad thing is, that if you hear or know about them, they are like 10 times more likely to happen to you.

Do you want to know what an Old Hag Dream is?

I'll tell you guys about them in installments:

This is not me speaking, this is a guy telling about his girlfreind.

"My girlfriend, Bethe, and I had just laid done to go to sleep when she began to make this gasping sound. It appeared that she had fallen asleep and was having a bad dream and was having difficulty coming out of it. I had not fallen asleep yet and shook her and woke her up. She was scared spitless. She had this look on her face like she had just seen something nobody should ever see. I asked her if she was okay and she was still having trouble talking. After about a minute, she was able to clear her throat and began telling me about this horrible experience she had just had. She kept telling me, "You don't understand." I was listening to her and could see she was very visibly upset, but I still just thought that she had a very bad dream. Besides, what else could it of been? She kept saying, "No, you don't understand. There was something there. Something evil was right there. It was real. It was not a dream."

Ok, an Old Hag Dream is:

When you sleep, you dream. 2 parts of your brain disconnect, the part of your brain thats dreaming and the part that controls your body. If they didnt disconnect, your body would be acting out your dream.

Sometimes, people can wakeup during a dream, but the brain has not completely connected. So, you cant control your body, but you are mentally awake, and you can actually see whats going on around you in the room. However, your brain is still dreaming while its disconnected. Just because you are "awake" doesnt mean the dream stops until the brain reconnects itself.

So, what happens is, you will have very vivid hallucinations that seem absolutely real. Subsequently you'll start to panic and want to breath heavier. But you cant tell your body to start breathing harder so you feel like you are suffocating. Its called an Old Hag Dream because people often imagine something pressing down on their chest i.e. An old woman or some other "evil" force. They think something is trying to kill them. The fear that people feel during a old hag dream is unexplainable, It is also unkown why they feel such a terrible sense of fear.

Certain hallucinations people have had: One guy woke up and a rat was on the bed right in front of his face yelling at him and taunting him. Another guy felt tons of mice actually chewing his feet up under the covers (remember you are paralyzed). But MOST of the time, people see a person or thing standing at the foot of their bed, or next to the bed. For some reason, the person having the dream senses that this person is very evil. People have also imagined being visited by God or Satan. Or a dead relative. usually you might wake up to see someone sitting on your chest. One woman woke up to find a dead baby on her chest that was covered in blood and still moaning and stuff. All I know, I hope I never have one of these dreams.

My mother had one in her early 20's. She woke up and felt that a cat or dog was sleeping on her chest. She didnt own any pets so she assumed it was a stray animal. She says she was completely awake and she couldnt move. She panicked because she couldnt breathe. She wasn't very sure what it was, but she felt like it was a cat that wanted to scratch her or attack her. She then sat up very quickly and "tossed" this "thing" off her chest. She turned on the lights and looked all over the house. She truly believed that there was some kind of cat in her room that night until she heard about Old hag Dreams about 10 or 15 years later.

Trust me, you dont want to have an old hag dream. Apparently they are the most awful thing you can experience.

It is also a good explanaition for people believing they have been abducted by aliens. Its very common for people to have an Old Hag Dream about "Alien" type creatures wanting to take them away etc. Even though they are awake.

I had a quite wierd dream the other night.

I started out in my house, on the net, and there was this pop up that said "RX-8s coming to Craigview Dr"(my street), so I told my mom about it, and then I got in what was I guess supposed to be "our" new Accord Coupe, and I went driving around the block looking for them. Then as I was coming up a street that connects to my street, they passed by, but the Accord just lost power and was going like 2 mph. Then I jump out of the car and run after them(they were going like 10 mph down the street, and I caught up with them infront of my house, and it was like right after sun set, there was just a little bit of light, and here infront of my house are 2 "RX-8s", though they were RX-Evolvs, black, and cool as hell. So I talk to the Mazda people in them, then they give me some stuff, but it's Disney crap! It's like cartoon stuff like stickers and crap. But I was happy that I got something from these guys in RX-Evolvs. Then they say "See ya" and start to drive off, then they floor it, and it sounded exactly like the RX-8 in GT3, and I was laughing and I go inside my house, and I was like "Man those RX-8s are AWSOME! Look at this stuff they gave me!!". Then I told my mom that I had to get the Accord back here, and my mom's like "What?! Where is it?" and I was like "I'll go get it" and I left. I'm walking down the street to get the car, and then the dream ended...

Wierd.

Then like 5 days ago, I had a dream that I worked in this gas station like place, and there was this girl(like 18 yrs old or so) in this Protege, like a '95 or so, and she parks and comes inside. One of the other guys working there said something about me, and she was pissed. I ran out of the store, and she started chasing me in the Protege, and I was scared to death of this girl trying to run me down. So I cut over some curbs and make it back inside the store, out of breath. I go into like this office room, and I'm sitting down looking out of the windows at the corner of this room, and here comes this girl driving up to the window, and I look at her and she looks like she's gonna drive right through the window, but she doesn't see me, then as she drives past, she sees me, and revs the crap out of this Protege and it's peeling out and she pulled a handbrake U turn in the parking lot and starts speeding towards the window, and then the dream ended(I was so scared that I ended the dream(I donno if it's normal, but I have the ability to wake myself up when I'm having a bad dream...)).

Mazda dreams. This is getting out of hand.

Anyone else have car dreams a lot?

cars are incorporated in my dreams in some way almost every single time i have one. you probably know already, but Mazda is bringing the RX-7 back, just so they can have a car with a platform Ford doesn't. that's cool.

How about dreams that actually end up happening?

My most recent dream that confuses me the most is a dream that I had about chopping the Muscle Car Comp 6 (I had no clue that it was the 6 comp at the time, it was about 5 or six days ago that I dreamt this). Anyway, I dreamt that I was putting a flame coming out the air vent on the side of an older car. Just today (around 4:00 or so my time), I found myself staring at a Challenger (a rather old one) with a flame sticking out of it. Rather freaky, don't you think?

Bleh.

Recently I had a dream that there was a huge spider dropping from the ceiling (this was a few days before I saw that spider thread) I was laying in my bed with the lights off and I tried to shout several times but my voice wasn't working, then I tried to move but I couldn't, then I woke up.

Also another time I had a dream I was in m bed and my room was realy dark and all I could see were pairs of red dots like eyes. Although this dream might be because my hifi amp and video were plugged in so it might have just been the little red dot's on those.

Last year I fell asleep during an F1 race (yeah, it was that bad) and then I started to dream of watching the race. Except in the dream there were benettons, Lotuses and tyrells as well as the usuall (I swear there was Polyphony 001 there as well). Also all the drivers were driving from the wrong teams, for example Montoya was driving for renault.

:odd:

J2S, they have many platforms/cars that have no Ford in them, and while they are bringing the RX-7 back, it's not the RX-8. RX-8 = Family(4 doors) sports car. RX-7 = true sports car.

Sorry to go off topic...

Continue with interesting dreams now. :)

Well I have had numourous repeditive dreams.

1. I'm on holiday with my family in like a 4WD and we are driving along a State Highway through a gorge with huge cliffs on one side down to a muddy churning river. I can feel my stomach churning and my heart pounding in my chest. I try to yell out but I can't speak, my dad looses control and we plummet down the cliff then I wake up just as we had gone off the edge.

It has happened at night, and whilst we were going through a gorge. - I must have a gorge phobia thing. - sp

2. It's really dark and I think I'm lying down. I can't see anything normal but can hear someone yelling at me. I can never work out what is being said, sometimes theres like a guitar or something as well.

Other dreams I have had it is quite common that I can't speak!

A dream I had last month was where I had an axe but it was instense gravity. I couldn't swing the damn axe, just take huge aimless lunges. I just continually was lunging and swinging at bodies. All I could see was faint torsos nothing else - it was dark as usual.

-WIERD - oh wait I had the dreams I'm the wierd one.

That happens to me when I dream about getting into a fight. I throw punches which do no damage, like its real hard to punch because of a lot of gravity

That happened to me as well not so long ago. I went to go jab my dad in the face and my hand moved slow as and he dodged it. Which pissed me off because I'd love to punch him.

I had one dream that scared me ****less about a year ago...i dreamt i was on my primary school oval with like all the people from the town on the oval...with terrorists all guarding us...i was standing, then i turned around and i think Osama Bin Laden kicked me...i turned my face around on the ground then he shot me with like a hand sized minigun thing...then i woke up...
