Hi,

Please help a newbie...

What's drift and racing?
What's the difference between them?
When is it better to use one rather than the other?
Is one more suited to specific car types than the other?

Please help

Thanks

I don't think that one is more beneficial than the other really. I think mostly it all comes down to your style of driving. Drift will allow you to slide the car around the track, while racing gives you more grip hugging the track. So I would say try them both and figure out which one suits you better.

if you want to win, dont do drifting unless you totally understand it. its basically your rear wheels spinning(excessively) while your car is sideways and your front wheels dont loose traction, its more about style than function. If youre really into Imports and drifting like me, watch Option Import Video #91, its the All Japan Drifting contest available at stylincompacts.com or your local tuner shop. I love drifting, but i dont really use it in the races, just when I mess around on easy tracks.

Drifting:

Go into the settings menu, and lower the TCS and ASM, or you could try it out at zero. (Then you will notice the difference, I'm sure :D )

If you use the default settings, you will not be able to drift around a corner.
