For those that have GT4 in hands, what's the best tire to use when drifting. I know in GT3 it's the sim tires, but I can't tell which one is which with all the Japanese texts. I've try using the street tire (N3) and it's doesn't seem to slide at all even with the rear LSD turn up to 60 barely any rubbers being burned. I don't have a lot of $$$ right now to just buy all of the tires to use. so any idea.

After the released of GT4...in Asia, I haven't seen any drift video out yet. What happen to the sport of drifting? Is it dying? Maybe people that already have GT4 in their hands just don't care about it as much as I do about drifting. Maybe their main focus is finding newer things that's in the package. God I wanna kill Liksang, but I can't blame them. What shipping company works on a holiday? :guilty: I should be getting my new Slim PS2 from LIKSANG anytime NOW. Beside I paid the extra $$$ for it to get here asap. Well see about it the next couple days.

After all that's been said, I hope those mad drifter can capture some video and post it on this thread, cuz I know I will. Well after I get use to the controlling of GT4 that is :scared:

Hope this thread doesn't get delete :scared:

I think people are mostly focused on playing the game rather than focusing on drifts. Give it a few weeks and we'll probably start seeing some drift vids. For sure by the time of US release we'll see a whole bunch.

I think you should just be patient. Most people who get the game are more interested in racing at first, then, they will try some drift stuff. :dopey:

I thought that drift mode got taken out?

For the (insert ludicrously large number here) time,
YOU DON'T NEED A "MODE" TO DRIFT.

For the love of Pete, drifting is not dying because people aren't spamming Jordan with drift videos to upload to his server.

Look HERE, and you'll find tons of drifting screenshots.

drifting seems really hard to master in GT4. japanese ppl already manage to drift with the D1GP cars, i'm still trying.....

its nearly impossible to drift with DFP... cuz the steering is just too slow.

Despite the new features on GT4, my first goal is to buy a decend car and fine tune it for drifting purposes. Yes even if I have to torture myself by playing GT4 for a day straight. As many people have mentioned, I don't care about the drift mode or not drift mode. As long as there's a track and a car to drift on, I'm happy. Go hachi-roku, hachi-roku, Go, go....
