Hi! Recently I've started to be interested in Drifting, mainly because of some GTP and team-mixi has inspired me. It seems alot of fun. But, I don't know how to tune a car for drifting.... please give me some pointers.
All i know is... Back tires should be less grippy than front tires. And front break more sensitive than back....

Ps. Didnt find anything on Drift-subforum or here. Just move thread if needed.

What are the basic tunes?
Lower the car? or make it higher at the back? + or - camber settings? I really appreciate if someone could give me some help, or giving me a website here I can learn it from scratch.

thank you

When I drift I use n2 tires front and back, I find it harder to drift if the rear tires are less "grippy".

And for the tuning i set the power to max and the weight to minimum, that's it.
But im not that great at drifting, usually i get around 14000 points on eiger or suzuka.

I know there are some guys known as the sidewinders who are pretty good at drifting

Sidewinders? Never seen them drift but one of them suck at being fair well I was watching from behind but anyways moving on...

Online or arcade drifts??

Online you should use S tires
Arcade is the N for points.

Dont mix tires if you have a FR car. It just makes the car uneven and less control able if you start spining. Only mix if your using a AWD car etc.

Simple suspension is 1 or 2 fro springs and camber so its easier to counterdrift.

I usually keep it mainly stock for cambre and toe.

brake balance is smaller number front higher back.

ABS 2 or 1

Gears are the thing...

Set up gears to suit the corners. If a corner usually takes
60mph on 2nd gear set your gear to withhold 70-80mph to get the wheel spin going.

Hey, thanks alot for the help!
So then... what I've done with your help on da 350z Tuned is:
Same tires front & back (n3 online)
Simple susspension
-3.5 +.10
+35 +.5
breaks 4-5

and changed gears

No I can drift around a little, it helped alot, especially same tires front/back. Again, thanks alot folks! Hope I see some GTP drifters out there!
