Event Layout

Practise
  • The lobby will be opened around 5:30 and will be available for competitors to practise the line for the event.
  • During practise the drivers will line up in the practise area marked out. 2 drivers will then pull up at the comp start line and when ready, start drifting the course. Once those drivers have cleared the first corner, the next pair will pull up at the comp line and start the process all over.
  • When all drivers have completed the section, they will wait at a safe distance from the finish line untill everyone has finished their run. Afterwards everyone are permitted to head back to the comp start line.
  • If one driver is still on track when the 1st pair start practise lap, the driver still on course will have to drive on the grass back to the comp start. If heading back to start, Stay on the grass on the right side of the track.

Event
  • The event will start at 6pm and when every competitor are in the lobby
  • The event will be a 1v1 battle with a tournament style bracket. The driver that wins the battle, Advances to next round.
  • Only knocked out drivers that get a second chance to compete will be in the top 4 to determine 3rd and 4th.

Top 16 bracket
The event will start with the top 16 bracket.

This event will not be run in race mode (where replays can be saved.) as it will take up too much time to in the comp. So the event will be recorded with a video camera facing the monitor.

Top 8 bracket
Top 8 bracket will start straight after the top 16.

Same rules apply as top 16 bracket.

Top 4 bracket
Before the top 4 backet starts. there will be a 5 minute break to allow the competitiors to have a stretch and grab a drink and a quick bite to eat. ( Its hard work being in a comp, and its always good to calm the nerves.)

When the top 4 bracket starts, It will be held in race mode (for replays).

After both pairs have competed, The battle for places 3 and 4 will be run, and then last of all, Top 2 will be run, to determine the overall winner for this event.

Clipping point on this wall. A wall tap is allowed ONLY if it doesnt effect the cars angle or speed. Caution is advised as there is a curb on this wall that can spit the cars in another direction. Also the following car should back off before here to allow the lead car a safe transition. Failure to do so will result in a 0 for the following car.

Not a clipping point, however it is advised to come out wide on this corner for a safe line through the tunnel.

Last clipping point for the run, This clipping point allows for a bit of speed out of the corner.

I apologize for this picture, as I changed my mind afterwards. The finish line is now at the 50m sign, however competitors can exit their drift once past the 100m sign.
In practise runs cars will be able to turn around after the 50m sign and wait till all cars have cleared the section before returning back to start.
