This weeks theme is Front Wheel Drive.

Moglet wants to see photos of just FWD cars drifting.

~ Previews may be posted, but must be no larger then 400X300.
~ You may change your Final Entry once.
~ All images to be uploaded at Imageshack.
~ Photoshop or other graphics programs may only be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness/contrast, gamma, hue/saturation, rotate, add a border or small signature, or to remove the "Gran Turismo/©SCEI" watermark, if you so wish.
~ If you don't have Photoshop or other professional image management software, try a shareware one such as Picasa or GIMP.

whoah nice idea pehaps i might be able to do something. but i dont really know what or when :/
 
Haha!This is a great theme.It will show the difference in drifting style whether they use handbrake,inertia,or even backwards drifting......I should be able to do some great shots.But i just hope my pc don't give me the same problem as yesterday :(

Just do a handbrake turn at high speed then. As long as it looks cool for the photo it doesn't matter if it's not technically drifting. 👍
 
Well it doesn't matter how you get the car to drift,just have fun trying to drift the car and take some wild shots of the car.Certainly mine looks as if i put a rwd conversion (which i don't!)

but, once youre "drifting" how do you keep control of the drift without power going to the rear wheels?
 
throttle and steering control are critical to keep the drift going. it would be easier if gt4 had a clutch too. coz then you could use it to keep the drift going too.

I used to have a Peugeot 205 GTi and on long sweeping bends and at a fast enough speed (within legal limits, of course! ;)), the back end would gently start to slide out without any trouble at all, or any need for the handbrake. I don't think GT4 lets you drift like this, but then again I've never tried it in a FWD car.

Well thats one thing about photo mode,it doesn't have to be exactly like a video where you must continue your drift to keep the video nice.In a picture,you just take a photo of you doing a drift (not necessarily continue the drift) so see what i mean.....

Drift Settings Used: ( used less power modifications )
FUtec2k's SRT-4 Drift Settings

I tried several cars, this one seemed to be the best compromise between controlled drift and reckless rearend swinging.
 
is frontwd FF or FR i never know the difference, *oh woe is me,*
 
It's FF cars, SimmiS.


I love this theme, I already have a bunch of shots, justneed to edit them and choose one (the hardest part for me).
 
It sure is hard to maintain a drift in a FF car, here is a tip. Stagger your tyres, it can help quite a lot. I had N2's on the front and N1's on the back. ;)

Funny...both shots have Honda´s...must be more easy to get a drift (If U wanna drift right, buy Honda):)

I picked mine mainly for the looks and the color.

I find the Alfa like the one posted on the 1st page (can't remember the name) much easier to drift actually, they're a lot of fun to drive. :)
