This is a special request for someone. Here's one of my first attempts at making a drift set up... I find it workes pretty good, but I'm no drifter. So I figure that if I can get this thing swinging around, a real drifter could probably make this thing dance.

It's fully done, roll cage and whatever gave me the most power for it, oil change and all that too. I opted for the HKS ORG kit for the shocks. I also used a mixed tire set up for this one. Super hard racers in the back, Hard racers in the front... I'm not sure if this is cheating but it made getting drifts a hell of a lot easier.

SR 7.0_____4.5
RH 77_____ 115
SH 4______ 2
CA 2.7____ 0.0
ST 4______ 2

BR 1______10

DF 30_____10

LSD 5/7/5

TCS 1

ASM 0/0

Auto 7

Fin 5.500

1st 2.960
2nd 2.070
3rd 1.550
4th 1.225
5th 1.000
6th 0.830

NO2 30

Give it a rip and please let me know what you think of this set up. I've never posted a drifter before, so some feedback would be good... what worked, what didn't. Thanks, later Ed

quoted from duck as i searched for s15 silvia

"1. You posted in the wrong forum. Post drifting related questions in the drifting forum.

2. You didn't look for your answer well enough. These settings were in the GT4 Drift Settings Depot, and were posted two months before you asked your question.

Bottom line, you need to search thoroughly, and if you didn't find what you were looking for, post your question in the right forum.

well what now huh? starting another thread. this is not the drift section of gt4, in ur face?

here, let me constructively criticize u and lead u in the right direction hypocrite,

Once again, you're understanding astounds me, well actualy lack there of... perhaps you're right, it's in the wrong forum... though just look at ALL those pretty settings about the car I just posted in the link you've provided... The reason I'm saying this is, as you've so often done in the recent past, you figured that just because an associated word comes up in your precious search, that it MUST be what the people are looking for. Further more, you'll notice that there are no settings in that particular thread, let alone that particular group of threads... Also, you may notice that this is the Tunning and Settings portion of this site... I can post ANY settings here... It would be best if you had a general understanding of basic communications before you start bashing on others...

yes i am right, so shut it. there isa drift section, just for drifting, this is, though not necessarily said, the racing forums. idont bash, u bash. i criticize ontructively, u understand what that means? gosh, go to the dictionary loser. if u opened ur eyes and attempted to search, ud get this, omfg ur so lame, check this

under s15 silvia for the drift section, i found this

"i love the SilEighty and S15
under 300 hp
ride hight from 15-20 away from lowest
11-12 kg spring front, 6-9 kg rear
around 3.3-3.6 camber front 1-1.6 rear
stabs 1
dont mess with toe too much
all on N2's
and i always put chassis restore, then a cage on my drifters."
posted by suzuki

btw that was the third post in the thread

that was page 1

on page 2, as quoted from ka24e

I dont know if its just me or what, but I have never seen anyone drift with the setup I use.
spring rate:13.0 / 15.0
ride hight: 94 / 94
shock absorbers: 8 / 9
Camber: 2.3 / 3.0
sway bars: 6 / 6

On a 91 silvia K's (s13) with sports hard tires on the back, and sports soft on front.
with 280ish horsepower.
Anyone use this sort of setup?"

then same page suzuki again with his post

"first thing i see wrong is use the SAME TIRES for F/R.
you do not want a higher springrate in the rear than in front. make the front rates higher than the rear.
ride hight, i usually stay 10-20 away from the min. not sure how far away that is.
also camber, use higher front than rear. you want the front to grip during the corner, not the rear. the rear doesnt need much camber, unless your race drifting. i stay under 2 for rear, and 3-3.7 for front.
stay bars, i usually put them at 1 so i can let the springs/dampers handle all the cornering loads you get."

etc etc, need i go on? go home, holy damn man....sheesh

The setting you've quoted are for the Silehety... The others are for the S13, both the wrong cars... You keep talking in circules, I'll keep helping people... These are the settings and tunings forums... not the racing forums, if it were the "racing" forums that's what they'd've called it... Says post your settings for any car here... So I did, and just because you keep saying the same thing over and over again doesn't make you right... And by the way, somebody with grammar as bad as yours is going to have a realy hard time once your school books stop having pictures in em... happens in about grade 5 or 6... lemme know when you get there....

ok, i seriously dont have time to argue with 12 year olds, im here to tune, as u said and not to beef it. im done witht this and not because u won, no no. i have gf's to deal with, iono bout u but i got girls. gj bacon, hahah

ill get u soon though, when i got time. u should start a thread for out beed, itll be hilarious hahahahahahah

i just have to cuzi reread ur post...

and: Together with or along with; in addition to; as well as. Used to connect words, phrases, or clauses that have the same grammatical function in a construction.

as quoted form dictionary.com

look, im glad ur helping others, thats what im doing too. dont flame me cuz i get pissed and this is the result.

bad grammer, no, just spelling mistakes cuz im on a laptop. cookie for u for catching my mistakes english teacher? go get a life.

im saying the same thing over and over again because, like i have stated, and though i would hate to find the postsfrom the threads where the mods said to keep the drift in the drift setting, i dont have timefor that right now. im 17, so i cant be in 5-6th grade, what a loser!!!!

ur so moded, i thought that since u live in canada u have all the time in the world to study since its freezing outside =)

but

read this

"On a 91 silvia K's (s13) with sports hard tires on the back, and sports soft on front.

NP HDT... that ship has sailed now... oh, if you're so inclined, you can get better drifts using the "soft" free tires in front and the "hard" free tires in the back... Later, hope you enjoy, Ed

P.S. I'd like feedback if you get a chance... Thanks

dont take this personally
it's just a joke

From what I can see, he did not post this in the wrong section. This is a settings section afterall, and from what I can see in the first post here, those would be settings.

Lay off canadian already djaft3rb3ats. You're coming off as a complete troll and an idiot as well on these message boards. I'm getting sick of reading all these posts of idiocy you create. I'm sick of being forced to read them, filled with every grammatical error possible. You're 17 and you think this is correct grammar or what? What are they even teaching in school nowdays? I can't believe you're going to be graduating soon, and be let loose on the world this way, under the impression that you're correct in this manner. You're doing nothing but filling the settings section with this idiocy. "I'll win this later"? This isn't a game or some competition here. This is the internet. Freaking stop it. Sorry to anyone / everyone, but I had to say something. I'm sick of this. I'll be awaiting a post of idiocy directed toward me now.

BACK ON TOPIC : Nice settings Canadian. You have yours setup close to what I have my silvias set to.

Buying S15 now will test these settings as soon as i get it for ya mate.

:)

Got the Car now Testing Settings now, On Trial Mountain :sly:

Settings are really good i found it really easy to drift comfortably took a bit of getting used to but once i did it was really great. Gear Ratios a bit short but im used to stock ratios anyhow.

Good Work with these settings hope to see some more from you soon 👍

anyways, back on the drift, canadian, would there be a way for you to tune this car without the tcs of 1?

Simply widen the final by twenty whole numbers... then you should be able to have TCS 0... I had it set like that because I was using racing tires and it helpped to control the backlash... if you use lesser tires, you shouldn't have a problem. Later Ed

Also, this was a more "conservative" approach... I was looking to make it a bit easier to drive... I found recovery was/is easier if you retain a bit of TCS, but to each his own...

When my ps will be back i'll try these set up first ! :)

i understand the driveability part, i was just suggesting that its more fun without DA's. i dont use DA's when drifting, just a suggestion.
