Hey guy's ;)

Today, I finally started practicing drifting in GT5.
I'm still a noob at it, so my question is what you guy's think
is the best car to start with?
And what tires should I use? I was told to go for the Racing Hard tires.
For a car, they advised me to use the Acura NSX (MR drivetrain).

For you drifters, what car/tires/setup do you use?
I mostly use the High rev turbo, but I guess that's not so good either...
Oh yeah, and should I switch back to the controller to drift?
Because I always use my Logitech Driving Force GT...

I've heard that a 350z is good. I personally have used Nissan S14's or S15 Silvia's, mainly cuz I love those cars. On GT4 I use to use my R34 GT-R. That one took some time to learn due to the fact it's AWD. Let's see, what else....RX-7's are good, Toyota Supra's too. Lexus IS 300. Pretty much any rear wheel drive from Japan will work. Dodge Vipers, Ford Mustangs....they are a whole a different beast. Heavy @@s end and lots of juice. You may already know this, but you don't need insane amounts of hp. You can get away with as little as 300-400 hp. It's all in the drive train setup. Hope this helps a little.
Go on youtube and do a search for "GT5 drifting" and see what comes up. I actually saw tandem drifters on an online match using Vipers...wow, those guys have skill. It's pretty cool watching it in a game...almost as cool as the real thing.

Two decent cars to start with are the sls amg, and the hks hyper silva (keep an eye out in the UCD)

As for setup, you'll have to tune it to your driving style.. lower it a bit, shorten the gears on the tranny, and give it a bit of camber. I use comfort hard tires..

As for wheel vs controller.. Prepare for a workout, but you can get better throttle/break control with the wheel.. i play either way depending on if i'm too lazy to set up my wheel.

First of all your in the wrong forum. Head over to the drifting forum for help.
Second you will learn as you go along things like using racing hard tyres is ridiculous, comfort tyres are recommend. MR cars are not good for beginners so just get a RWD car. I would recommend buying any RX7 from the UCD and tuning it slightly to get you started. Finally for setups and cars there is a whole thread in the drifting forum about this. 👍
