Drifting help

hey guys

i need some help with my drifting since ive been having some problems and im pretty frustrated. 1st problem is when i come out of a drift trying to straightin out the car snaps back to quick in the opposite direction and spins me out. 2nd problem is when im holding a drift for a few secs. the car is going toward the inside of the turn all the time. how do i correct these problems? please help me out! :indiff:

Welcome to GTP. The answer to your first problem is you need to be more sensitive with modulating the throttle and counter-steer. The description to your second problem is unclear please can you go more into detail. Also, I would like to add that there has been many threads on counter-steer snap back. If you have any problems with you drifting, I would suggest reffering to the sticky threads. I dont mean to sound like an arse but please feel free to use the search button.
 
Hmmm, Im guessing that in the second problem is that your either not countersteering alot when you have a big angle or you need more control on the gas but I don't know.

ok when im drifting in the middle of the road the car starts going to the inside of the turn and goes on the grass.
 
i had this proboem aswell... i just overcame it by entering a drift at a higher speed and earlier. modulating brakes and gas..etc

also when i enter i try to enter a drift in 3rd gear then wen i start to slow ill shift down into 2nd to maintain movement.... hope this helps

Yeah, it sounds like your timing is a little off. Always start the drift earlier then you think you should, especially when just starting out. Once you get your rythme down you won't second guess yourself. :dopey:
