drifting impossibility?

in tokyo R246, you know the hairpin at the top of the map, has anyone drifted around that? i have gotten like 3/4 around but just snap back or spin. if you did and have a video that would be woner full, by the way i am using all my drift cars awd and rwd, so i cant figure it out.
 
Um, alot of people have been doing that. Silviadrifter's and Thio's vids come to mind. Although, that's just from the top of my head. I'm pretty sure everyone else has done it. Just go around and download the videos (usually found in their signatures).

I think you can do it with a well-tuned car as well but by well-tuned I mean almost perfect. =) Might also require a 4-wheel drift if the power is really low. I haven't pulled it off in anything with less than 450hp.
 
I wasn't bragging, I was simply asking how many of us have drifted both corners in super speedway. I simply raised my hand to help answer the question. Maybe you misunderstood the question. Or maybe hooked on phonics didn't work for you, is that it? You gonna cry now? yeah, that's what I thought.

It's a pretty easy turn. I do it in 300 hp cars, which is almost enough for every turn, except maybe super speedway and that last complex string sweeper, but I may need more practice as well.

As you have read. it's not that hard. It takes pratice. If you are just starting out on drifting what tires are you using?

If you want a 'drifting impossibility' get yourself over to the Test Course... unless you're in a hybrid with monumental horsepower.
There was a video floating around here not long ago of some dude drifting the 'TC'.

I think that was BAZZ who did that in a Silvia 1800.....don't know if he still has it up.

oh yes I remember that battle seeing as I was the other participant. well, here was my entry. https://www.gtplanet.net/gallery/photos/gt3_video/S13_Tokyo_R246_II_sims.wmv . he had a really good video. I belive it was more of a tie rather than a victory for me. it was a good battle though. sorry if the video isn't good, it was my first time using sims. well enjoi.

Bustwave and Drift260Z.. I've watched your vids.. and I must say... excellent drifting from both of you's... :)

Why aren't you making vids anymore? Waiting for GT4?? Come on guys... just for old time's sake??? :D
 
I'm having trouble getting a hold of bustwave.'s vid. Drift260Z's one was awesome, whole lotta 'choku dori'/'manji' goin' on there. :D
Seriously, it was amazing, being it your first time on sims and all. 👍

thanks man. it was allright. I just transferred what I knew how to do on racing slicks, to sims. and sims allowed me to push my angles even farther and taught me how to slide long distances. so I emulated what I did on sims, on racing slicks and it allowed me to push the envelope on racing slicks. that is how I developed my style and got better. that is how I did it. now I would like to see some more good racing slick drifters.

Yeah im just waiting for Gt4. pretty much. I'm trying to make a GT3 drift vid. Maybe in about 2 weeks :D

If you are talking about the nice big round corner (the second or third turn) then yes, I have done that in the good ole s13...only 270 HP maybe less and sim tires. If you are talking about linking the two corners after the right-left jog on the back straight....uhhh tried but there is no way for that car, that I can see.
