How can i get my 300zx to drift ,and is it even possible to drift with such a short car?
.its bone stock right know besides exhaust and intake:( all i could afford for know.
please give me details on what parts to buy that are not that expensive.
Iv'e tryd drifting with it stock with all the different types of techniques and its impossible.

300zx's have HICAS right? That would definitely cause problems when drifting. You might try disabling the HICAS if you're really serious about drifting. Either way, this isn't the right forum for this. Try Zilvia.net or NICO for more info.

if all you can afford is the exhaust and the intake then I don't think you should be drifting. Not unless you have several spare tires laying around that you don't mind burning up

One question: Why?

Yeah, that's what came out of my mouth too.

It's a shame for all these cars to be wasted for 'drifting.' Save your money, and make your 300ZX a nice car that people can respect, not a drift-mobile.

Pretty much. This guy is asking "How can I ruin my vehicle?"

Why not? If he wants to drift, then he should. I don't know about you guys, but I don't pick my cars and hobbies based on what other people think of em.

I'm not sure that the 300ZX would be a good car for drifting though, or any kind of hard driving, they're pretty heavy and a bit expensive to maintain. I'd go to a drifting forum with people who actually know what they are talking about to ask, assuming that there is such a thing :p

retsmah, its not that he has a misplaced hobby, its that the work needed to turn the 300zx into a drift vehicle would mean stripping it of everything Nissan designed it for. Hes trying to take a banana split and turn it into a toilet. Why waste the split when you can enjoy it for what it is.

Ah, I got the impression that you were more like "drifting sucks". I'd have to agree that there are probably cars out there, for less money too, that would probably be more fun to drift.

What year 300ZX is this? Turbo?

To add:

Especially since you got the DC2 recently, I think you should save some money before you can go modify your car to drift, nissan300zx :)

Z31s and 32s seem not to like drifting. It's a combination of high weight, less than optimal balance, and a limited aftermarket. There are 300z drifters out there, but most of them will themselves admit that the car is not well suited to drifting, especially to someone with little experience.

The 300zx is not well suited for drifting because its fat, and the weight distrubtion is not that good, its intended as touring sports car, but if you want to make it a drifter, you would have to ditch the hicas, witch you do anyway if your upgrading the performance, and change the engine, because the vg30dett is to over weight for that purpose, the only z32 drift cars i have seen have sr20det's in them:irked:
