Lemme tell you, I for one, am quite sick of all this drifting BS. For a couple years now I've seen the slow degeneration of what used to be a tight knit society (I was never a part of it, but I had respect for those who were). Hey, if you drift for fun (on a closed course), good on you. If you bought a RWD car because you wanted to be some uber drifter, but then go and do a body kit and paintjob before you do a single bolt on or mod, then you my friend sucketh mightily. If you go out and do this crap on public roads, please do me a favor and total your car by yourself. These drift punks go out and buy a Nissan, without knowing a damned thing about it, pay someone a boatload of money to do the work for them, then have the balls to tell me that they "drive a 180sx" and that they are a real "racer".
I've got my first Nissan 240SX when I was 17 (back in 97). I was one of none. That car met its end early this year when a Blazer decided to become one with it. While searching for another 240SX I've found that prices for this cars have skyrocketed cause moron kids will pay idiot prices for a garbage car with a truck motor in it. I bought mine for 1k, it was on its last legs... 1k for a car that could barely move, has body dmg, no stereo, and no options. Gimme a break...
My 240 has a SR20DET in it. I cannot tell you how many times high school kids and people rolling on 19's on their honda CRX's have asked me if I drift. They usually follow up with "Is that swap hard, I was thinking about getting a silvia too". I usually give them an odd look and tell them I have a 240SX, then go about ignoring them.
While I am tired of all these wannabe's and their "silvia's", I am a little happy about the increased availability of aftermarket parts. These losers that go out and rice up their Nissan's must be buying a couple parts, as I've seen the number of online shops increase ten fold. The prices are still kinda high, but now there is a little more competition so a bit of a drop has happened. Good on you lamers.
"But flohtingPoint," you may ask, "you have a link to your GT3 drift video's in your sig, dont you think this is kinda hypocritical?" I put bolts of energy through people, sending them into thousands of pieces, in RA3. This does not mean I approve of building a lazer and going to the mall and gibbing people. Its a video game...
