Download the "avi" one. It's called: ztone_do-rif-to.avi

You can also use this direct-link (remember that Internet Explorer doesn't let you resume if connection is lost):
ftp://gt3:gt3@ztone.mine.nu/ztone_do-rif-to.avi

You should really try to compress it again in DivX It should really reduce the file size, maybe down to 20 or 30 megs. Also use MP3 format for the audio part.

how long is it? cus i can get 4 min movies down to 30 megs or so with no loss of quality. Is the quality very high?

It's about 13min. The quality isn't that good.

Wow that's long! Still I think you could get it down to less then 100 Megs. For the audio part is it encoded in MP3 or wave? cus 13 minutes of wave will be a good 100 megs instead of 10 or so in MP3.

Sound-file is also mp3. I think the problem is that I use divX 4.x instead of 5.x. The reason for that is that I get an error when trying to encode in 5.x. I'm giving it another shot right now to see what happens.

what video editing software are you using?

Yeah, very nice vid. It's just really long, but good.

I re-encoded your file with DivX 5.05 at 15FPS and got it down to 73.8 Megs there is a loss of quality, but it's very small... It's will probably be best if you try to re-render it on your own now that you know it is possible. It will save you bandwidth and I’m sure more people will download it. I use Vegas video for my movies and even if the music file I use is MP3; if I don't select it again in the options it will render it in wave format. If you care, try rendering again in Divx 5.05 at 15 FPS and the audio in MPEG layer 3 (MP3) 48,000 Hz. If you have the same or similar options in your editing program as I do then set the “pixel aspect ratio” to 1.000, the “field order” to None (progressive scan), the “frame size” to NTSC square pixel (640x480).

And does that FTP site cost you anything?

Don't feel bad I was averaging about 10-15 kb/sec and I’m on cable with a max dl of about 380kb/sec.

Ok. I really had to recompress this one too.

The sound wasn't in MP3 format in the original one so I compressed it with LAME 160kbps and got it to ~15mb instead of ~133mb.
And then the video. I used Divx 5.0.3 for this using 700kbps bitrate from the settings. It still looks the same so no drop in picture quality.

The final file size was 75mb and the quality was as good as the original.
But I didn't even reduce the frame rate like TruenoAE86. It's still the original 29.970fps. I don't see the need to drop this.
