Hi, i'm a new member in the forum and i'm about to buy the G27 logitech and I don't know if this sounds funny or not but I just wanna ask if the gear stick works with cars that don't have a stick in real such as the Lamborghini Aventador which comes with shifter paddles. Simply can I drive a shifter paddle-car with the stick? Hopefully someone out there understand what i'm meaning.

I understand, and the answer is slightly yes. Most cars you can do such a thing, it's really specific. Some cars work and others do not.

Some of them, yes. There are very few that the clutch doesn't work period.

Some of the cars with a sport-o-matic type transmission like the Bugatti Veyron, it will not let you use the clutch at all till you buy the aftermarket transmission. The Nissan GTR Black addition doesn't allow you to use the clutch at all, even with aftermarket transmission. Some cars for this and some do not.

Is that what you meant?

If you are wondering if you have to use the clutch all if the time, the answer is no. You can deactivate the clutch at any time by pressing one of the paddle shifters. Which then you can shift with the paddles or with the shifter. The clutch will remain deactivated till it is pressed again.

You can use either the shifter or paddles for any car, doesn't matter if the real car has a stick or not. You can even drive cars that are only auto, with the shifter or paddles.

I have noticed the same with cars, that i have driven.
But like in M-B C63 you have to use both.
Since C63 has 7 gears and G27 wheel has only 6 gears in shifter,
so you have to shift the last gear with paddles.

Better get the thrustmaster than!! ..Then, $700 later (150 for shifter) you find yourself in the Lexus ISF...

Well that really doesn't bother me, but it just came to my mind.
