I recently purchased a Logitech Driving Force GT (official GT5 Wheel), as a second wheel for LAN. I have run into a few small problems, however. The games I am playing with the wheel are as follows:

Richard Burns Rally (quite a few compatibility issues, including no 900 degree support, and pedal axis issues)
GTR2 (works fine, although not in full 900 degree mode)
GT Legends (see above)
Live For Speed (quite a few compatibility issues, including no 900 degree support, and pedal axis issues.)

Does anyone have any knowledge of drivers that may help some of these issues?

;)

try the ones from the www.wingmanteam.com site. Those ones have worked with all Logitech wheels I've had.

DFGT isn't mentioned in the wheels list though...

Thanks, daan.

I installed the latest drivers on the Wingman site, and it seems to have installed the "Driving Force Pro" drivers. This is probably how I can get around the incompatibility issues.

I just returned home from work (it's 6am), so I need to get some sleep. When I'm a bit more with it, I'll try out the wheel with the aforementioned games, and give a full report.

Thanks again.

Any word on a good place to find cars, tracks, mods, for GTR2?

NoGrip is a good place. It has a 100mb a day download limit, but if you throw them a few dollars/pounds/euros, you get unlimited downloads.

There are other places, but NoGrip probably has the biggest selection of legal mods.

Ok, I did come across that site in my search for mods. Thank you for confirming it's a good site.

One last question...

As a GTR2 veteran, what mods/track packs, etc... are a must download, in your opinion?

Good tracks are too numerous to single any out, apart from the Nordschleife & Machwerk, both of which you must get.

I would recommend that you get as many tracks as you can. You never know when you might need them.

As for mods.

SCC by Perfect dark is a must have. It's car list is staggering. Pick a sports prototype from 1998 and it'll be there (908 & R10 excepted so far)

Other must haves are the Aussie V8 Supercars (You'll want to get all the aussie tracks too. Look out for ones created by MR_INGALL), Porsche Supercup 2008, WTCC BMW E90 2006, M3 Challenge. The Ford GT, Evo 8, Impreza & Skyline mods are decent too.

I haven't really mentioned the F1 mods as I don't think GTR2 can handle them. The ones I've tried F1 1988 & F1 79 have suspension bouncing issues on most tracks.

I downloaded the drivers, installed them, opened the device profiler, adjusted the setting to 720 degrees (most cars aren't a full 900), adjusted LFS, GTR2, and Richard Burns Rally for 720 degrees, and low and behold.... It worked. Thanks again daan. 👍

I have just bought a wheel. I having downloaded the gaming software. I am trying to play Grid 1.2 But i am not sure how to configure it. I have tried configuring to some extent but it appears too sensitive. Can anyone upload there game profiles for this game or any other racing game. Also please let me know if you guys leave it to 200 degrees or 900 degrees and other settings regarding the steering wheel.

Many thanks for the replies.

For GRiD, I have my G25 set to 360 Degrees, this way I found you can turn your wheel to around 200 degrees and not spin out, and no need for overcorrection. As far as I know, you can't configure the wheel in GRiD too well, and the FFB is a bit weird I reckon. I don't think you can reconfigure the buttons on the wheel either.

Daan
check out the Top Gear Test Track for GTR2
just google that and youll probably find it
It is a good fun track

Thanks Turbo Lag. I think i am not gonna play Grid (even with 1.2 patch its no good),even if its visually stunning. Its damn to difficult with the wheel not being recognised and so many issues.

DFGT was recognised very well with STCC RAce 07. I did not have to configure anything i just had Logitech profiler 5.04 installed. I just need to adjust a few settings i should be alright.

Can you guys recommend other racing game for pc that you play with your DFGT wheel?

Thanks again for replies.

Romeo 👍

Having STCC and Race07 myself, I do think they are great games for the G25. It'll take some time to set up the FFB properly, but I have mine on almost the hardest settings, gives my arms a good work out

Hey Delphic Reason, what settings are you using for GTR? I've just purchased GTR Evo and also own a DFGT (great wheel) and would like a good indicator of where to start.

I know this is an old thread but it was the second to come up on Google :dunce:

It's been a few months since I've fired up GTR2. I tend to use between 540 and 720 degrees for steering. Strongest force feadback settings, and no aids of any kind.
