Recently I bought a Driving Force GT used, but the guy said he only used it twice so I didn't care. The wheel works fine,
but the brake pedal started to make a loud, extremely irritating clunking noise and it still has 6 months of warranty left. I've read that it's a common problem,
easily fixed by tweaking the springs a bit.

I'm thinking about opening the case and tweaking the springs, but would that mess up the warranty? Is there a seal on the case or something?

Usually you would void your warranty if you open the case, but then again you may need the docket from when the product was first originally purchased by the person you bought it off to redeem your warranty. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong as i'm also a new Logitech wheel owner and it would be handy to know. Your other option would be to contact Logitech customer support.

I just read Logitech's remidies section in their important information packet, and in the section it says quote"the warranty does not cover problems or Damage resultIng from (1)accident,abuse,misapplication,or any unauthorized repair, modification or disassembly; (2) improper operation or mantinence, usag not in ordancance win product instructions or connection to improper voltage supply ; or (3) use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not supplied by Logitech except where such restrictions is prohibited by a applicable law."

So no I would not advise opening the petals I would take it to a place that supplies the Logitech DFGT or GT PRO or contact Lodgitch and ask then what to do.
