Hey GTPlanet, i was wondering if the Driving Force GT is a durable wheel the will last a long time. What are some ways to extend the life of this wheel? Also how long had you guys had your Driving Force GT as well as what settings you guys use for GT5.

Thanks GT-D34DLY310

Definitely a reliable wheel. The pedals do have a common failure that can be easily fixed. Logi can replace your entire wheel if your wheel is affected within a year of purchase. I've had mine for more than a year and it still performs like a champ. The DFP I had before was purchased in 2005 and still does well to this day or so tells me the friend I sold it to.

I did more than 200 000km (lot of nascar) in gt5 with it in about a year in a half and still work perfectly... so no reliability problems

Built like a tank, I've had mine for about 2 years with constant racing and only had one minor software glitch.
Logitech customer support are excellent, they will help you with just about anything.

If i may ask what was the software glitch?

Had mine for over a year now, still works like a champ. If you haven't already bought it, I would definitely recommend it. Best wheel you can get for the price. And definitely get the Granturgismo paddles, they make a world of difference.

When I tried to use it with the pc, the Logitech software wouldn't recognise it. After a call to customer support they directed me to a program which cleared all drivers so I could reinstall and then it worked again :)

I'm having problems with my brake pedal spiking I've tryed the fixs but that didn't work so it looks like I need new pedals but I don't know were to get them from anyone know?

Mine's been used at least 5 days a week for the last three years or so. Works the same as the day I got it. I took it apart once to pack it for international travel, and gave it a bit of a greasing then, but I probably didn't need to.

Unless you're amazingly hard on your wheel, it will last long enough that you will be wishing it would die so you had an excuse to upgrade.
