Driving Force GT Gear Stick Problem

Hey, just wondering if anyone had this issue. I have a DFGT that's been around for more than a year or so now, and I'm finding that whenever I use the gear shifter, on occasion it likes to double-shift gears (e.g., if I move to shift down once, it shifts twice). Any ideas?

i have had this happen, but just because i hit it twice in quick succession, it is way to floppy.

i usually try and use the almost useless paddles normally. unless im having to turn the wheel loads (normally when spinning out!)
