Sorry if there is already a thread on this

I was playing GT6 online last night and as I was driving, the game showed my brake pedal being all the way down, even though I was not touching it. The gas pedal was not doing anything when I pushed it down. In the pause menu, I went to the chat to tell the others in the room what was going on, but the cursor was just going down and I could not stop it. What should I do? This happened on GT5 once as well. I put the wheel away for about a year and started using it on GT6. No problems on GT6 until now. Help?

I have had the wheel for about 3-4 years now, if that helps.

Check your wiring between the two pedals it is only thin wire, i had that with an old driving force years ago, replaced wire and bingo all was ok again.
Hope this helps, you may also want to clean potentiometers on pedals at the same time. Stewy

I did everything you said and it really helped. I got the brake pedal disengaged but it wont go full throttle when pressed, its sits at about 7/8 throttle and the brake pedal is... sketchy, to say the least. I fear my old wheel may be on its last days. But, I got it for $10 at a yard sale, and its lasted al long as it has, I really cant complain. Thanks

a good cleaning inside the pedal box is often all thats needed. Its amazing how much dirt, dust and dog hair collects in there.

This.

Before opening up my pedals I would be brake checking the guy behind and losing time on the straights. After cleaning out it all out, it was a happy brake pedal.
