Hey I had stopped playing GT5 for a few months (about 6 or so) because it became like drinking tap water and eating plain rice cakes... So to spark new life into the relationship I bought a wheel, now obviously I didnt want to spend hundreds on a game controller because frankly its obscene and its a game controller. So I opted for the Driving force GT. I was very taken initially by the novelty of playing GT5 with a wheel... but then I felt I was reaching the limits of the wheels mechanics, it didnt seem to register my commands as quickly as I would like and it seems the wheel is too small for 900o of rotation, like the same amount of movement on the wheel on my real car would mean me turning the tiny wheel 3 times as much (I understand the diameter of the wheel will cause this but I thought they may have compensated the tiny size)... and as I said the mechanics of the wheel seemed very slow to respond to sudden steering changes and corrections when catching the back end. Ive altered the settings from 1 all the way to 10 to sharpen it up and get some feedback, while rubbling away is a nice feeling feeling the steering go light when wheels lose grip is so minimal that its not worth mentioning...
I'm hoping I've just got a duff wheel as this delay has somewhat put me off buying and using a wheel again.
If not could someone give me some setting or hints to get a better experience from the wheel, which doesnt include spending more than my PS3 cost me on a controller for 1 game.
Thank you in advance!
