So I've been playing since launch and having a blast. I was having an issue with a sticking brake pedal on my Driving Force Pro but I fixed that thanks to the info I found here. Well I went to play today and at first my gas pedal wouldn't register as being all the way down. So I shut down and rebooted, figuring maybe a recalibrate would help. Well now the entire wheel isn't working. The D-pad jumps all over the place, the wheel doesn't do anything not even during a race and the gas and brake don't work either. Anyone else having the same or similar issues? Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like your wheel is dead. Maybe upgrade to DFGT? They aren't expensive, you can even find them used on Amazon.

Kind of strange, I put GT5 Prologue and ran a race. It wasn't working at first, then it started to work, then it went to hell on the 3rd lap. Wheel went dead, wouldn't turn the car, pedals did nothing either.

Hi Madjack, I had the same problem when I first installed gt5. I installed gt5P again. Which was the last game I had used it on. After using it there it worked fine. Just persist before you write it off. Maybe try a different game to get it to calibrate correctly.

I hope it works out.

Regards.

I think the accelerator pedal of my DFP is dying out. The accelerator indicator in the hud shakes strangely even if in full acceleration... (TC and rest of the aids off)
I'm thinking about updating to DFGT but the pedals being the same flimsy ones that DFP has is bit worrying.

my DFP did that when I was still playing GT4 about a year after I got it. I took the pedals apart and cleaned the contacts and haven't had the problem since.

That said I did notice yesterday that I don't have to have my foot all the way to the floor for it to go full throttle. Either its a limitation of the DFP, or maybe because its 5 years old, not sure.

Have already opened the pedals once to fix the brake pedal... might have to do that again.

Are you sure your sensitivity problems isn't caused by the pedals not being calibrated properly?

My DFP did this the other day. I had to unplug everything and restart the PS3.

I usualy leave it all plugged in even when watching Netflix or DVDs, and it did it when I went from watching some Dr. Who to GT5. The wheel worked on the XMB, calibrated when GT5 started up, then didn't respond. Both lights were on, but nobody was home.

It seems to work fine now, but I'm paranoid the on center feel is weaker than it used to be. But I was doing licence tests not driving the car I usualy drive.

I don't believe the pedals calibrate at any point only the wheel calibrating itself.

Well I've narrowed the problem down to the pedals themselves. Once plugged in, the wheel doesn't even work, the paddles will change gears but that is it. If I unplug the pedals, the wheel works as intended. When I have some more spare time, I'll get into the pedals and check all the connections. Sounds like some kind of grounding issue.
