Driving Force Pro's cheap(ish) in UK

HERE you can buy the new Driving Force Pro for only £88.80 including Postage and packaging. pretty good i'd say. best price i could find within the UK. just ordered one off ebay for £90 including P&P. cant wait for it to come! anybody else ordering one soonish?

Already got one when prologue released, paid about £90 for it, from a site someone recommended around here, seems the price hasn't altered that much.

Its a fantastic wheel, and Gives the game a whole new feel.

It suffered the rediculous pedal gremlin just yesterday, so took a screwdriver to it and was easy to fix.
Hopefully theyve sorted this problem out by now.

what pedal gremlin? you mean they moved about when playing? by the way, while on this subject, does anybody know how i can use it on my pc for live for speed or any other racing games?

Thanks for the link. Yes I'll probably get one when the new small ps2 comes out. Hopefully the shop will have them, they don't currently have any PS2, they're probably waiting for new stock?

No the wires inside the pedal box are to tightly pulled inside the pedal unit, and over time as you depress the pedal they start to pull the connector off the potentionometers, causing the pedal not to record full depression, its easily fixed, just open up the base and feed a little more slack to the cables and reposition the connector.

We do not have a fixed date on the new small pstwo yet, but it should be early November.

The Driving Force Pro's are the latest revision yes, we sell a lot of these so they are re-stocked often so we always have a recent verion.

Everything looks just fine, the PS2 and Wheel together will give free postage on the wheel making the offer look a little better.

Now all I'll need is copy of GT4p to fill the gap until GT4 is released.

but sorry , dont buy it, because mine is "dead".Can use anymore the Gaspedal, just brakes works. Someone can help me , its nearl 3 Months old ( 1 month Holiday, so 2 M at all) .

Welli dont know , the problem , specially to fix the pedal ( THRottle = GAS ).

There are some pics, but i must say, for the NEW PICE ( about 170 EUROS ) ,it looks to me a bit cheap made---> just the Pedals.

The Wheel is great , only the Pedal looks little cheap for that MONEY.

So plz Help me out of it.

they dont have drivers for this particular wheel though, only for wingman and driving force ones.

Its not really much of a problem, its very easy to fix.
1, remove all the screws in the base of the pedal unit,
2 remove the cover.
3, locate the black cable that runs to the wheel, and prise from the cable grabs in the pedal base.
4, pull some extra cable into the pedal unit 1- 2 inches is plenty
5, relocate the cable back into the cable grabs,
6, locate the potentionemeters, as seen in your 1st picture, they are white and have a connector on the top with slim cables. (this is the where your problem is, they have pulled away slightly, due to the fact that the black connecting cable was to tight),
7, push the connectors firmly back into place.
8, check the tabs holding potentionometers are slotted in the grove under them so they dont move when pedal is depressed.
9, carefully reposition the base plate ensuring the pedal springs are located in the slots,
10, replace all the screws, plug into wheel and hey presto your pedals should now work perfectly.

I would hope that logitech would have worked out this fault by now and sorted the problem at manufacture.

However, the cable is held in position quite firmly in the case and the only way to create enough slack in the cable in the right place inside the unit, can only be achieved by taking it apart.
Therefore invalidating any warranty.

Preventative yes, but you takes your choice with the warranty.

Alternatively you could just get a new one under the warranty, when it breaks.
