Driving Force Wheel V1 vs V2 Differences

I have a Driving Force GT wheel right now and I really like it. My brother wants to buy it from me, so I was thinking of upgrading to the new version.

Are there any differences? Mostly, when you turn the wheel fast, does it still sound like a loud whining noise? (Straight cut gears)

I got the DFGT a few days ago and I just love the adjustment dial because I can sometimes mess up the driving options before a race and I can alter it in race if it doesn't suit the car or the track. Help a lot, almost like cheating. :D
 
Sweet! Can you tell me if the wheel makes a loud noise when you turn it from left to right or right to left? The wheel on the v1 has a straight cut gear, I was wondering if they improved the design.
 
Mines very quiet. Never had a Driving Force Pro to compare with though but all my research says the GT is quieter.
 
I have a DFP too, and having tried the DFGT it is a big improvement over its older brother. If your brother's going to buy your old wheel, definitely go for the DFGT, don't even think about it. 👍
 
The GT is a larger wheel, quieter, better feedback, more buttons, same pedals as far as I could tell. It's an upgrade from the DFP for sure.
