Driving options for Driving School

i everyone,

I'm trying to get gold on all driving school events and I struggle at it.

I'm an occasional racer since GT5P, but not very fast.

Which driving options do you use ?

Up to now I left the default values, but maybe some of those are killing my times.

Usually I race on manual transmission, but I left automatic transmission (the default) for the driving school. I there a benefit in switching to manual ?

I leave ASM off and counter steering off (default values in most entries).

The default for Traction Control (TCS) is 3. Should I change it to 1 or even 0 ?

Will these settings make a significant difference, or should I concentrate on braking points and driving line ?

TCS slows you down big time. Each time you see the TCS symbol go red, it is costing you time. Keep it off if you can, 1 or 2 at most. On the ovals, you pretty much need to have it off or you will never win.
 
Ditto. And if you can edit the gears, tune them to the course or portion of course you're on.

Always use Manual gears, i had tcs at 2 max and other assists as week. If you get all gold you get a special car ;). the only thing i didnt like was the rally at the end.

Another note the last test in the Porsche, if you beet lap time by 1 second i think you get a car.
