Fired up the game for the first time today and i collected my bonuses from the demo credits/achievements bonus. I then proceed to start with driving school and noticed that I only have 24 beginner challenges and that the rest are missing. What's going on? Are there any members here who have experienced this? Please help.

Here is a screenshot. Is this correct? On some YT videos i've seen that there are a whole lot more events but they are just locked. In my case there aren't anymore events.

When you get those done the next lot will show.
 
There are 48 total. You have to finish 24 to unlock the other 24.
 
Yes, it looks like that, until you have completed beginner-level, and then intermediate-level will become available.
 
Intermediate tests will open up when you complete Beginner
