The Drakon Racing League GT3 Championship is an exciting new series on Gran Turismo 7, featuring GT3 cars. Open to drivers of all skill levels from around the world, this series promises thrilling racing action for everyone.
Season is set to begin on 24th of January, 2025, with races on Saturdays at 7:30PM (19:30) BST.
What’s in store?
- Dropscore System: Drop your worst overall result to give you a fair chance at success.
- Enhanced Organization & Communication: We are dedicated to providing a seamless racing experience.
- Team Championship: Compete as part of a team and battle for the title.
- And much more!
Regulations:
Any use of a vehicle outside the permitted list results in immediate disqualification from the event.
Drivers commit to their chosen car from the opening round and carry it through the entire championship.
The series runs under Balance of Performance (BOP), with fixed car setups. Drivers have access to brake bias adjustment only.
Allowed Driver Aid:
Traction Control (TC);
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
Points System:
Drivers who complete at least 90% of the leader’s race distance are fully classified, while those falling short of this mark will still appear in the results and earn half points for their finishing position.
An additional bonus point will be awarded to the driver who secures Pole Position.
Dropscore aka. Joker rounds:
A Dropscore system will be applied from Round 3 of the season onward. Competitors will have their lowest-scoring result automatically removed.
Event Regulations:
10min Qualifying
60min Race (x3 Tire Wear, x1 Fuel Consumption, 100l Initial Fuel)
Tires: Each driver must use at least two different dry tire compounds, unless it is wet.
Refueling: Refuelling during the race is permitted. However, due to the low fuel consumption rates and initial, fuel depletion under race conditions is unlikely.
Red Flags:
Red flag procedures have been implemented to ensure that races can be restarted if necessary.
Stewards Inquiries:
Drivers may submit incident reports to the stewards until 00:00 on the Monday following the conclusion of the race. A dedicated incident reporting system will be provided for submissions. Stewarding decisions will be issued accordingly, and drivers will have the right to contest a verdict through the official appeal process.

Depending on the number of registered drivers, we plan to implement a dynamic driver class system rather than a traditional division structure for more fairer competition. The main event will feature two lobbies (Top Split and Bottom Split) with a pre-qualifying session used to determine lobby placement.
Throughout the season, all drivers will compete in a single Overall Championship, earning points based on their race results. These points carry through to the Season Finale. Following the penultimate round, drivers will be assigned to performance-based classes to promote fair and competitive racing. Class Champions will then be crowned during the Season Finale.
