So...

My friend Tara just came over flipping out. Apparently she was over at a friends house with a few of our friends when one kid, Kacey, decided to try acid for the first time.:banghead: He took 5 hits of acid, and it was his first time ever doing it. This proves my theory that he's an absolute f-ing moron. Anyways... from what she said he was fine at first, but after a while he started freaking out, yelling, screaming, cursing, etc., so they decided to take him to his house(he's 20, and lives alone). They managed to get him calmed down enough to lay down in his bed, and they all moved to his living room where they just sat talking. About 3 minutes later they hear a window break, and in walks Kacey holding a pretty big chunk of glass with blood dripping from his hand. She said he was yelling really weird crap like, "I'm the f-ing ice king!," and he tried stabbing a few of the kids. At this point they decided to call an ambulance. Ambulance arrives in about 15 minutes. He was acting so crazy they had to completely strap him down. Here's what pisses me off the most.:irked: None of the kids told the EMT's why he was going crazy, or what he was on. They just said he might be drunk. Then, they don't tell them his name, or give them his wallet because they were afraid Kacey would get into some sort of legal trouble.

So... here I am on my computer, with a 17 year old girl downstrairs crying, not knowing wtf to do. We still haven't been able to determine which hospital he was taken to. So, now a friend is in a hospital somewhere all ****ed up probably being called "Patient X," or some ****, because they have absolutely no clue who he is.

Part of me wants to cry, yet part of me wants to kill Kacey, and our friends, for being so ****ing ignorant.

Rant over. Please, people, don't do drugs. Thanks.

/\ One damn good example of why people shouldn't use drugs.. it doesn't really quite hit you when people say it.. but it's enough for me. personally, i don't want to damage my body anyway... wow.. ur taking drugs.. wow.. ur so cool? no... sure.. you might be on a high for like... a while.. but really.. it'll keep you hooked... and its bad for you too.. so why do it? plus its VERY expensive.. *or so i think..*

Josh, I feel sorry for ya.. I'd get pissed if I were you. So what if Kacey gets in trouble? It's HIS fault for taking the drugs..

Damn. That's pretty bad.. why would he even want to try drugs if he knows they're bad? I mean, he broke a window and held a piece of glass with his hand bleeding. Damn...

I don't know what the hell is happening to people today.

That's totally something you tune out when you're high.

God damn! Why the **** would they let him take 5 hits of acid for his first time!? That's probably not what you need to hear though. The hospital, wherever it is, will probably figure out what happened and help that out. I would have worried about his health way before the legal stuff. Five hits of acid on the first time is extremely dangerous. Well, I hope he comes out safe and without any permanent damage.

I've done acid a bunch of times and never freaked out. It's definitely not the most pleasant of psychedelic experiences like mescaline or psilocybin, which are naturally occuring compunds. But I can tell you that taking five hits of acid is incredibly stupid. Taking one or two can give you an experience that's memorable and thought provoking. I can also tell you that mentally stable people tend not to have bad experiences with psychedelic drugs, although your friend may well have overdosed. The basic effect of them is to break down the barriers between sensory experiences and thoughts. The result is unfamiliar and can be terrifying if your not stable to begin with.

When I used to do it I'd go for a bike ride, listen to music and draw, write, think... When I lived in the mountians I used to go hiking on mescaline. In my case these experiences left me with a kind of knowledge and perspective that I couldn't have gotten any other way, and that I'm glad I have.

Your friend is obviously screwed up already. Blame him and your cowardly, stupid friends for what happened. Blaming the acid is like blaming guns for murders, a knee jerk reaction based on irrational fears of something you know nothing about. Sitting here reading the party-line scripted crap I see on TV ads every night like "Drugs are plain bad news" and "it'll keep you hooked... and its bad for you too.. so why do it?" is more troubling to me than drugs themselves, by far. You people are brainwashed. Try thinking through something for yourselves. It's a simple idea: What might be right for me may not be right for you. Get it?

I've known drugs are bad ever since, uh, ever since..., hold on a minute................................................since the 5th grade. I was very attentive to the DARE officer...

This helps clear some things up. Thank you.

I wouldn't say that Kacey is screwed up. He graduated in the top 5% of his class, was in the National Honor Society, HS debate team, etc. As far as I know this is the first time he's ever done anything like this. I don't think he's mentally unstable, or screwed up, but I think he's an idiot for taking 5 hits, and I think that's the reason he flipped out.

One of Tara's old friends did acid once, OD'd, and is now in a psychiatric hospital, or something, because she's now half-retarted. Or, at least that's what I've been told.

Yep,... I knew a guy who had full-ride to MSU for wrestling and at the end of his senior year of HS he fried his brain.

Though he doesnt live in a mental facility, the dude aint got both oar's in the water anymore.

BTW,... that was the result of ONE 'bad hit' of 'cid.

I havent taken any since.

I can offer my experiences. First off, I don't support the use of drugs, but I understand that people will experiment with it.

With Acid, my first time was with 4 hits of blodder-4way, which is compareable to about 16 hits of normal, street acid. I was around good people, and in a good environment where I would not be paranoid. The closest I've ever had to having a bad trip was when I took some that was lased with striknine (sp?). That wasn't good, rat poison isn't good for anyone. Through my experiences I have never had a 'bad' trip on acid, but have been around a lot of people who had. There was a guy once that bolted off, away from the crowd. By the time the night was over, he had stripped naked, where he proceeded to run down public streets screeming and yelling. When the police officers tried to stop him, he ended up putting three of them in the hospital, braking the collar-bone of one of the officers, and seriously injuring the other two. That was just one of many 'bad' trips that I know people have had while under the influence of acid.

I would have to agree with milefile, that it depends on the individual and how well they know themselves and wheither or not they are at peace before they take it.

Josh,

I hope that your friend has learned fromt his experience that he should NOT continue to use/abuse acid. It is clear that this psycodelic is not for him.

I was a kid back then and had no responsibilities, however, I will never do drugs again, as they don't have a place in life anymore. There is so much more that life has to offer then just 'getting high'. I've been clean for 12 years now, and look forward to every day of tomorrow being clean as well.

Exactly. I had my fun and don't want it anymore. I couldn't even imagine doing it now.
