Quick question...How do you have your DS2 pad setup for GT3??

Me, I use both the sticks, left one for steering, right one for accelerator & brake, gears and hand brake on the shoulder buttons.

I've been using a pad set up like this for racing games since Porsche Challenge on the PS1

you use the analogue sticks for steering and and brakes etc...?!

that sounds pretty hard...i use the default settings and use the arrow buttons for steering...x for accelerate and the usual stuff...

i spose its all about what you are used to...

Left stick for steering. Right accel/brake. R1 handbrake LR2 gears. It pisses me off when I play some other racing game that only lets you use LR1 for gears.

I tried using the right stick for accelerate / brake, but didn't like it. I use the left stick for steering, default setup for everything else. At least the DS2 has analogue buttons so I can regulate the throttle a bit.

I find using a stick as the throttle/brake gives me a little more control over it (when feathering) than the buttons, can't "left foot brake though"

D-pad for racing, left analogue stick for drifting. "X", "square", etc. buttons for both and R2-L2 for gears.

Default setting.
It is the most intuitive for me.
Every driving game I own that allows customization of the layout ends up laid out like the GT series.
