DS3 not working properly when wheel plugged in?

Hi was wondering if anyone could help me...

Im trying to use my ds3 and g25 in conjunction ie the wheel when im racing and controller when in menu's etc. The g25 is plugged into player1 usb port and ds3 is player2. However the ds3 seems to be non-functional except for PS button...

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
 
Is your DS3 assigned as controller 2? If so assign it to controller 1 and it should work. I had the same problem

DS3 in port 1, G27 in port 2. I suppose DS3 was already assigned as controller 1. Worked fine for me.
 
I've found that any USB controller takes precidence. So I have to turn on the PS3 and load GT5 before I can plug in the wheel. However, even when I do that, left/right on the left stick dies. It moves the cursor around just fine, but it won't steer the car, yet the throttle stick works just like it always did.

Any ideas?
 
I have the same problem with my DFGT. I just unplug the usb of the wheel, and the controller works fine. I really need to learn to drift with the wheel, but its so damned hard.
 
I just tried going with simulation steering tonight and it's helped me catch the elise when it kicks out (also have power assist on), which I could never do before.

But I hate using a wheel for standard cars. They don't rate.

I'd like to be able to switch back and forth without having to get up and go to the PS3 and unplug and replug, or plan my GT5 sessions around the cars/events I'll be doing.

I guess I might just have to get a remote USB hub or something. :/
