Gran Turismo 4 DTM Championship

Welcome to the DTM Championship for Gran Turismo 4!

This Championship will consist of 6 rounds.
To start with, the car makes available to drive in this championship is just like the
real DTM series. That is Opel, Mercedes and Audi. More info about the cars below.

This Championship will be run offline. The races will be run in Arcade Mode -> Single Race. (Just to give some sort of competition).
Before each round you will be given a special "race setup". (Including number of laps to be run etc. etc).
Besides this its standard online racing rules, no wall riding, no cutting, no cheating etc.
Your race results can be posted in the specific round thread or pm it to me.
Picture of race results is highly recomended!
Points system: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for the positions from first to eighth.
Tyres: All types of tyres is legal to use.
Tuning: NO type of tuning is allowed included nitrous!. The ONLY thing you are legal to buy is the rollcage. Other than that you run the car as it is when you buy/get it.

The schedule:

This schedule is correct

R1. Twin Ring Motegi Road Course. 20 Laps.
R2. Opera Paris. 30 Laps.
R3. Nürburgring Nordschleife. 10 Laps.
R4. Grand Valley East Section. 25 Laps.
R5. Suzuka Circuit. 20 Laps.
R6. Seoul Central. 30 Laps.

Any single driver (privateer) or team can enter this championship. A team can have a maximum of 2 cars.
No qualifying is required to enter this championship.
Just follow the simple rules and everyone will be happy.

So come on and join now!

I will also be glad to hear your toughts about this championship...what can be changed and so on...

i think to make this more interesting that no tuning should be allowed.. keep it all standard.... im keen.. and if your taking spots i'll have the Opel Astra Touring Car with the number 05

yer i dno.. im not one that likes getting a car and tuning the **** out of it and ruining a perfectly normal car and making it stupid if ya get what i mean lol.. anyways looks like it will be a great series if more people get involved

Just one suggesstion; can you change Suzuka West to include the whole track. Sounds more fun that way.

I'll have the Audi TT-R and i'll be a privateer. 👍

Also as the races are going to be run in arcade mode the quick tune option i.e. weight and power changes is the only tuning that can be done.

Hells yes I wanna be in! I totally loved this series in sim mode, on e of my fav indeed. Do I need a teammate? I want the Mercedes touring car. Please if I need a 'mate then whoever wants to race with me pm me asap man!

I haven't got much time the next couple weeks but I like to participate as a privateer driver in the Mercedes.

It is possible that I have to skip some races but the DTM is such a great class.

Btw. Very nice website. 👍

And when are these races going to start?
 
I haven't heard when they are gonna start, I see no dates anywhere....:( soon I hope. I wish I knew you wanted in earlier kenny, but I just got a teammate today...lol. Its not too late to join I don't think. I'll be seeing ya at the finish tho!

Hi all!

Thats right. no date is set for the first race. I have just waited to fill the championship with drivers first...

Now to the deal. I just got my gt4 back from a friend and noticed driving the races in arcade mode is out of the question.

You are not able to choose the Mercedes from the arcade menu, only the Astra and TT-R...

What I want is this championship to be run in 6 rounds on the listed track. The race lenght I was going to have was about 20-25 laps/race.

now I dont know in which mode we are going to race it out...

You guys got any ideas just throw them up..

this is looking good by the way hehe
