Yes, it's here, the 34 race DTM tournament, this thread will contain everything you need to know about round 3.​



Clubman Stage Route 5 (Forward).​
Qualification​
Race - 16 Laps​



Before Race Rules​

Transmission Top Speed setting may be altered
You may use Racing Super Soft Tires for Qualifying only
​



Qualification Rules​

Racing Super Soft Ties may be used.
There is not limit to how many qualification laps you run, but please PM me your race and qualification lap in at the same time.
Rumble strips are part of the track.
Please do not use any cheat devices while qualifing or racing.

Race Rules​

Please run only the given amount of laps.
If you ever go off the track, return to the course but add 2 seconds to your overall race time.

After Race Rules​

Please only PM me your times in between the given dates unless you have a reason (holiday etc.).
Don't argue about your qualifing position or race result, if anything seems suspicious, I will take care of it.​

New Rule, Sector (T) Times can be discussed in this thread for Qualification and/or Race, but please, no actual times discussion.

EDIT: Just went out for another couple laps, got some better splits :D

That would be your second worst T1 with a 1.8 improvement in T1-T2?

Thanks. :) I also ran the race a little while ago, turns out that my sector times only fell off about 3 tenths running medium compound tires.

Yeh!

I have noticed that on certain tracks, that the normal tyre compound 'differences' are minimal!

This is one of those tracks!

It's too short to apply the usual 1.6-2 second rule, AND, it has a quite low tyre-wear factor.
So, results should be very close!

BUT! I will be even more vigilant on quali v's race time calculations as a consequence!

No problem Neil, I haven't done much this week either, was sorta hoping George would have dealt with the last round first, but I guess he didn't heed our requests/advice. Another catagory as to why series fail.

I don't understand you at all.Last time we shared our results you got me by 3 minutes and 16 seconds,to be exact.:dopey:

Sorry to be the barer of bad news here guys!

But unless George changes his mind, this series may well be D.O.A.

He has had enough of suspect time submissions, a lack of integrety and respect from certain drivers, and to a certain extent (maybe?) the well-intended interference by myself, Drew, and others, who have been telling him to grab the series by the scruff of the neck, etc.

If I have been a major part in Georges descision to stop hosting this series then you all have my sincere appologies for being the straw that broke the camel's back (so to speak)
But, I just could not stand by and let a nice guy get walked all over.

I have sent a PM to George offering mine and Drew's help in stewarding this series if he wants to continue, but at this point he has not replied to it.

I will ask you all to give him some time to think about what he wants to do, and not to hassle him.

If he doesn't want to continue, I will take over (With the greatfully recieved help of Drew). But only, if George doesn't want to continue, the majority of you agree, and if my other commitments to JGTC & GTPLMS allow.

George, all of you!

First off, I'd like George to continue, for all the obvious reasons.
Yes, he's needed to come to the table so to speak about the past couple of weeks. Those are not his fault. I understand the job he's taken on being a moderator. Not one I'd like to take.

If George chooses to relinquish his position, which I hope he doesn't, I'll back Balls as the step in.

And Neil ?
If you and Andy hadn't spoken up, I wasn't far behind !
Count me amongst those that do the math, and call into ? the results that don't just add up.

GTP... the whole site.... has many of us that are like that.
I've read the post, and agree. George is a great guy, but playing the heavy is a tough thing to do sometimes.

I like the concept of the DTM series and would hate to see if fail.
George, I've enjoyed your thoughts and input. Sometimes being a B hole is tough, but needed.

Oh look, another suspicious time, but this time I am having none of it CCX, you don't qualify last, three seconds behind the pole position, and win the race by that margin. GTXDriver wins, followed by Sausages etc.

Well done Oldphart for reciving your first points from qualifying (1 point for third).

Just ignore CCX's race time, he gets no points for it, I'll think about a ban.

Round 11 up soon guys :).
