Yes, it's here, the 34 race DTM tournament, this thread will contain everything you need to know about round 3.​



Hong Kong (Forward).​
Qualification​
Race - 12 Laps​



Before Race Rules​

Transmission Top Speed setting may be altered
You may use Racing Super Soft Tires for Qualifying only
​



Qualification Rules​

Racing Super Soft Ties may be used.
There is not limit to how many qualification laps you run, but please PM me your race and qualification lap in at the same time.
Rumble strips are part of the track.
Please do not use any cheat devices while qualifing or racing.

Race Rules​

Please run only the given amount of laps.
If you ever go off the track, return to the course but add 2 seconds to your overall race time.

After Race Rules​

Please only PM me your times in between the given dates unless you have a reason (holiday etc.).
Don't argue about your qualifing position or race result, if anything seems suspicious, I will take care of it.​

Series News.

Racefan88051 takes his first win at Test Course, being the only driver to break the 8'00 barrier. CCX comes second in his first ever race, while Drew22 comes in third place for the second round in a row. Recent strong finishes from Drew22 puts him closer to the four drivers above him, and the recent power changing has made Audi TT Team 2 much stronger, as they advance to fourth in the constructors table, 10 points behind Vauxhall Astra, who have seemed to have been performing slightly slower recently.

I will be joining east in the Vauxhall Astra from now on as his former team-mate has been abducted by aliens.

That's the pleasantries out of the way, now I'm looking forward to joining this great series 👍

Can anyone point me towards a potted rules summary? I'm a little confused about whether I should be adding anything to the car or not and what settings to use in the race etc...

So for the race, its RM/RM and Time Trial mode, adding together the times of your 12 successive laps?
 
Hey sausages, most of those rules got changed after a couple rounds, these are the proper rules. Both Qualifying and the race are done in Arcade Mode, use R5s for qualifying and use what ever tyres you want for the race, but you MUST pit atleast once during the race, AI set to -2, AI tyres whatever, Tyre Wear set to Strong and Penalty set to Forced Pit 👍

First off - P ? - you got nothing to apologize for with me. If it wasn't for you we wouldn't be where we are in the point chase.

Did I ever mention that I really... REALLY ... Suck at this track ? LOL

Ok, for the math wizzards...nudding BTW :).... Yes, my qual is slow and my race speed doesn't match to where I was at qual. Main reason ? I'm still learning the "top speed" setting on this car.... I ended up running about a sec behind my qual speed, because I was running a different setting.

I'm still slow :( and still learning this car. but I'm here, trying my hardest :)... and cursing at the AI for the past two hours trying to put in one clean run for 12 laps :(

grrr.... wanted to throw the damn telly around, all 100kg of it !
at least the new wheel allows me to downshift when I'm suppose to :) LOL

I didnt put much time into this this week, sorry guys, two reasons, I got caught up in this week soer tight battle in the FGT series and I hate this track really alot :D I will do my best though to get some times in :)

I have an idea to equate the conditions.
What if when you make this serie including three seasons,when the drivers change their cars?So everyone can race all of the cars.Who drives the Astra now will change to A4 from Round 13 and then a TT from Round 25 and so on...
We've got 34 races put 2 more and we have 36,and then you'll be able to make three seasons with 12 races including in each of them.
Just an idea.I have no doubt it could be working...

I'd like to drive an Audi AbtTT...To be honest nowadays I am a little bit numb to my A4.It's a good car but for 34 races it becomes boring to use only this one and nothing else.

Ah, of course! Forgot that you were an A4 driver!

It's definately a good idea, especially as at least Drew and I at least, are getting bored of the TT.

It would just mean changing the team names to specific one's without relying on the car's name in the title.

I am also getting bored with the Astra which is why I asked to be changed to the CLK a race or two ago, I think it would be a great idea to change cars 👍
 
And as Laszlo said, it would negate the obvious disparity between the different cars.

I don't think that any amount of tweaking can get all of the cars on a totally equal footing, as the main problem with the TT is the AWD system that induces too much power-understeer at these Hp levels. Not the power to weight ratio, which is all we can adjust in arcade mode.

I say a definate YES!

If George agrees, of course, he is the boss after all! 👍

Something strange...
Balls,your result in the race wasn't about 15'30?I ran on RS/RS tires,there is no way to go that fast as your result says.
Maybe a typing mistake?

Race time was: 15'35.385

Thought the same when I saw the results were up, checked my memorycard and there it was!

Maybe I shouldn't submit times when I am knackered and worst for wear!:dunce:

That means that I won again...?I was suffering with the last round of JGTC,did Laguna 8 times (!) and for first try I won in HK?
Need a car change...

All times must be PM'ed to me before or on the day of the deadline, the deadline will always be at 20:00 (UK Time).

Anyway, my qually time was a 1'12.235 and I was in the middle of running the race when east told me the deadline had passed :ouch:

Hope I don't screw up next time! :scared:
 
So that shows that my qualifying lap time was not so perfect...I thought that people has doubted it because of the relatively big margin (about 1.8 seconds) to the second placed qualifyer's result.That would be a great lap,sausages!
