There is another one made called the Stealth FX Dual Valve that I know about. I don't know if that Turbosmart one is adjustable, but the Stealth one lets you adjust how much you vent to the atmosphere and how much air recirculates. Assuming that they are set correctly they should work as advertised and not affect the air flow meter on cars like DSMs. I am still playing it safe though as I use the Forge Motorsports recirc valve.
And this really sucks. The 1G DSM BOV is a great valve, when its crushed it can hold upwards of 20 pounds of boost before leaking. The only problem with the cars system is you need a stand alone fuel management such as the HKS VPC which can run you $500-800 if you want to vent to the atmosphere.
