I have an Open NAT and all the goodies that go along with this...Forza is the only game I have issues connecting to friends with...I was reading that you can do a network connection test while in game to solve this...I havent had any luck...Does anyone else have a sollution??...I have set my router setting and have opened ports...DMZ yadayadayada:banghead:

I have a myriad of issues across the racing pond, but have been kicked off 4za only once in nearly a year, and that only since the last live update. My wheel goes wonky with it too, any time I want to change the setting it gets "disconnected" as a controller.

I'd have to agree the problem is probably on the other end of the line.

I have found that my FIOS connection hates my consoles being out in the open or in the DMZ... I get better performance with Static IP and Specific Ports opened up and confined to the consoles if that helps.

I have a Static IP and ports opened on my router AND modem....@SatansReverence..I feel like it might be on MY end because when I go to try to find a race I CANT...It will search and search and search and finaly put me in a room by myself.....It acts like when you play COD games on a moderate/strict NAT.....hard to find games....frustrating

If all else fails just get this router. Everyone talked me into it a while back and I dont have problems with anything at all now with any games on the PS3, PC, or the 360.

Linksys WRT54G2. Its also only $50.00 and can be wireless or wired. 2.4ghz

Linksys WRT54G2 $50.00.

I have a Linksys which looks like that but its a E1000 (I think).....and there was a reason I got the one I got...I think of the wireless capabilities...I cant remember...Ill do some research on it though...if it will help me connect then Im all over it....But how is the wireeless??...I have a laptop/smart phone/ipod/and an ocasional extra xbox that I run wireless

The wireless seems to work fine. My wife uses her Iphone with it every day. All at the same time as having the PC, PS3, and multiple 360s running. We have tried several routers and that Linksys WRT54G2 works very very well.

I was having a similar problem. Both my brother and I have an xbox 360 and forza 4. We live in the same house right now, so instead of just playing split screen and only being able to use cars from one person's garage, I'll bring my xbox up to his room with a little tv and we'll race over the network.

The problem we were having is that 9 times out of 10, I wouldn't be able to join a lobby he created, or vice versa. Checking our router settings, it says our NAT is set to open, but when the problems occurred, the Xbox kept telling us it was moderate or strict, not allowing us to connect.

The only thing we tried, and it has worked both time so far, is turning both Xboxes off. Then going over to the router, and resetting it. Then turn both Xboxes back on. After that, each time, we were able to connect right away and race.

I think it might have something to do with IP addresses or something. Maybe, by turning both xboxes off, and resetting the router, it gives each xbox the same IP address.

Of course, my solution only applies to two or more people in the same house/building who want to race each other...

^^^^^I appreciate the response but this is not my problem. I have a open NAT and not having issues connection to xbox'x on the same network..It seems just Forza has a issue connecting with the world..
